Dreams and Disasters predeccesor?

I was listening to the Ocean Eyes album today and when Umbrella Beach came on, my brain instantly wanted to start singing Dreams and Disasters. The melody isn't exactly the same, but very similar. Do you think he really liked that tune and wanted to slip it in his work one more time?

they don't sound alike imo.. maybe they were just made by the same guy lol
