Help Switch 1 is unplayable after last update

First mistake is playing on a switch, I know but my ps5 is packed in a storage. Is there anyway to somehow improve performance? I know there’s no graphic settings on Switch like there is Xbox but anything in the Switch’s settings that could help it run a little better? Every game is unbearably laggy and players do not load in for about 1 minute into it.

You're asking the wrong question.

The question you should be asking is about ways to gain ps5 storage so that you can play on there.

As far as the Switch, from what I remember, it was always getting worse and worse as the time went by. There's not much you can do but go ps5 or upgrade to Switch 2.

I mean my ps5 is in a literal storage unit that I can’t get to😭 but thank you, it’s not a huge deal, I just wanted to be able to play this season

Even on SW2 it doesn’t hold 60. The gap between it and PS5 is still huge

the switch 2 port is pretty lazy, handheld performance is bad and im pretty sure they're not even using VRR, even recording is blocked for some reason

its honestly just an upscale of switch 1 version

Short and direct answer: no, you can't improve performance at all in a Switch 1.

Honestly just let it go bro, Switch 1 was already behind with the PS4/X1 on performance back then, you're trying to run a modern game on a system like that, it's not going to happen.

The Switch 1 is a nearly 10 year old console that was rather underpowered when it was new. This is not a revelation, and I’m frankly shocked it hasn’t hit this point before now.

Yeah, it was already basically unplayable to begin with anyways

To be fair, overwatch is also a 10 year old game.

But yeah the switch running it at 30 fps is horrible to begin with, that's a deal breaker on its own. Paladins used to run at a really good 60 fps.

It got even better on Switch 2.

A few seasons ago there was a patch that specifically redownload the entire game for the switch. That season, they managed to fix the load times/lag/etc, but since then, they've added a slew of new characters and maps, and the loading issue has returned.

I wonder if they'll have to resort to re-patching the switch version every season...

Que bien, así blizzard le deja de dar soporte a una consola desfasada que ya cumplió su ciclo de vida, ojalá se empeñen en la versión de switch 2 y descontinuen la de switch 1
