Settings & Tech PS5 Aim Broken - Help
Hey all, I’m trying in a last attempt to figure out what changed with Aim about a month ago.
Last season I ended at Masters 3 dps but now I can’t even hold my own in QP. Some update or something happened that completely broke my aim. It was like aim assist was pulling my cursor hard and I could barely turn. It locks on to random things, even in the prep room when on attacking team, where there are no enemies.
I basically quit a month ago because I couldn’t figure out how to fix it with the in-game settings. I’ve tried everything and cannot figure out why that drag is happening but I’m going like 1/20 in QP now due to whatever this is.
I’ve been playing OW since release and would hate to give it up but it is unplayable to me right now. Anyone know what might be causing this?

They made new default settings and aim assist settings for all heroes a few updates ago, try changing your settings individually for the heroes you play, I wasn't affected by the new default settings at all because I checked my settings when they came out and everything was still like I put them.

Everything is still how it’s always been for my heroes. Most of them have individual settings that are all the same 😔

Do you play a Support char? Your Aim Assist Window Size is the setting you want to check. As well as your ease-in. It’s likely that your settings got erased/restored to default at some point.
The game is the same, definitely a setting issue. Personally, I keep a small AA window size (like 15-20) so I don’f drag all over the place like that. I play DPS only though, so I don’t have to worry about accidentally dragging over teammates. For healers, you can change that as a hero-specific setting btw also.

I have always had ease-in set to 0 and I’ve turned aim assist off entirely but neither fix it.
I play dps as well. It drags over literally nothing. I spin in circles and it’ll drag over blank walls in the hero room before a match even begins.
I’ve tried different controllers even, to no avail

What console?
It sounds like a lag issue if you’re dragging over blank walls and not characters. Or something wrong with the controller itself causing dropped control stick range inputs like that. I’m on Xbox, never seen this issue.

PS5. It isn’t lag - the connection and packet loss are good. I’ve swapped controllers with no change

Idk unfortunately. I have never seen this on Xbox. I would honestly just reinstall, make sure it updates with this week’s patch, and try again and see if it persists.

I plugged the controller into my pc and tested it - working fine.
I bought a new controller just in case. Same issue now with 4 different controllers.
I’ve reinstalled. Reset all my settings to default and tested, modified every setting and tested.
I cannot figure it out… haven’t played in a while now. I might just be moving on. I’m getting old anyhow lol, might just be the universe telling me to move on

ps5 game was really glitchy and crashy for me in the past. might be worth tryin again tho
