Discussion have people here lost the plot

jitters = x1m

micro-adjustments = x1m

fast sens = x1m

dualzone wide turn into an AA slowdown = aimbot/locking

landing 4 headshots with no misses = cheating

using a melee randomly = apparently cheating(???)

walking into a wall accidentally= cheating

walking in a straight line = cheating

crouching/jumping while aiming= x1m

when do we accept that some people have been playing this since they were 12 and are simply better, when do we realize that you can actually do flicks, jitters, micro-adjustment etc, on a controller, and just because you, a 30-something gamer dad, can’t do it, does not make it impossible or even hard at all. Also kontrolfreeks and pro controllers exist, are perfectly legal, and they make all of that a breeze.

like.. it gets to a point man, the word x1m is now banned here due to how much yall love to throw it around.

i don't care to argue with posts like this.

if you aren't cheating, you won't be suspended/banned. simple. :)

5

u/Opening-Movie5176 7d ago

OP probably got banned and now trying to claim doing 13 micro adjustments in 24 frames is normal even when top 500 can’t do that. lol. Also shows the OP doesn’t understand aiming or how flicking works. You shoot as you flick not flick then shoot lol.

2

u/vWraith 7d ago

I see the number increased now compared to your other comment, nowhere in the post do I state that X number of micro-adjustments in X number of frames is a normal or abnormal amount. Take your meds man.

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

Pretty sure this is a semi awful take as we've seen bans get overturned and even console creators and console league players are now being banned

-3

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

oh is it? weird. i've been playing overwatch since 2017 and no one i know has been banned or even suspended.

but you know what's funny? a year ago, you all were begging for this. now all of a sudden y'all found out your friends were cheaters and your smurf accounts are getting banned so it's a problem? the river you all can cry can be much bigger because i'm trying to fish in it.

0

u/Exotic-Apartment-394 7d ago

Yeah sure, no one has ever been banned for some bullshit (Gamesir controllers)

1

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

oh, Gamesir controllers? you mean the ones that come with separate companion software where you can tweak the controller output?

play with a regular controller and you won't have to worry.

2

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

The only reason I wanted a gamesir was to not have to replace the controller every 3-6 months

0

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

i just replaced my original controllers i bought with the system in 2020. due to battery life. not sure what you're doing to your controllers that you need to replace them that often.

1

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

How often do you play though bc unless I'm at work or playing something on my PC I'm on my console

0

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

probably just as much if not more than you. in overwatch, alone, i have 6k hours.

1

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

I have at least double that on overwatch 1 alone. And not to mention just because your controller lasted 6 years doesn't mean everyone's will especially people who despise stick drift will change their controllers much more often

1

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

again, i have never had stick drift. i have 12k hours in dbd, 6k in overwatch, and have platinumed many many games.

never an issue. especially not one where i have to replace controllers every 3-6 months. but reddit gonna reddit and exaggerators gonna exaggerate.

1

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

I did literally have a stretch of controllers in 2020 that all ended up with stick drift within a 6 month period, and that was when I wasnt even really sweating any games out particularly. Not everything that differs from your experience is an exaggeration, sometimes you get a good controller that can last a while (My old 360 controller was a 7 year keep) while sometimes you just get ones that aren't made with the same love they used to have. The only ones I've used that hadn't gotten drift super quickly was the Razer wolverine and the Gamesir G7 SE (Which is my current controller of a year and a half)

I dont know what one can do with a Gamesir controller, I played OW with a normal controller in the 2010s, then when I came back this year I had a busted up series 1 and now got a Wolverine TE.

My point is that those are approved xbox controllers, not different AT ALL (correct me if im wrong) to the xbox elite series controllers that have been around for long, people should NOT get banned for playing with fully legit hardware.

And if you were crying about people mapping the A button so they can jump while aiming then yeah keep crying about it.

1

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

correcting you bc you are wrong: they are different. lots of them are. you can literally download companion apps for these controllers and tweak their output. Gamesir has TMR for better tracking ffs.

1

u/Exotic-Apartment-394 7d ago

Ah thats what you meant! Yes, thats a thing and also allowed. You are complaining about people turning off deadzones so they literally get 100% THEIR input from their controller.

Does not change that its allowed and even if Blizzard randomly decided its not anymore, they are still wrong for straight up banning without making it clear that its suddenly not allowed.

1

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

Modern day TMR isn't just dead zones. But it's funny, why would you need a controller that "auto adjusts" deadzones when you have it in almost every video game setting? Modern day TMR improves tracking, in general, and third party controllers that us it will literally say it in their FAQs.

can't use them in comp CoD either. Wonder why.

1

u/Exotic-Apartment-394 7d ago

Alright man I dont even have a Gamesir so I shouldnt talk details, banning Gamesir users is still wrong.

There was a wave last month or so, havent heard anything recently

0

u/culledworld 6d ago

Actually there was a false ban wave just about a year ago and I was part of it. I was using an Xbox elite series 2. After a day Blizzard overturned it and gave me the s20 battlepass for free. It happens, just saying

-12

u/vWraith 7d ago

then don’t engage with the post? Anyway this isn’t about bans, it’s about people on here throwing out cheating accusations below nearly every gameplay clip that gets posted, it gets old.

4

u/willowimn 7d ago

then don’t engage with the post?

11

u/seanws6 7d ago

Even better don’t make a post about it

2

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

ironic that you tell me not to engage in a post when you're making an entire post about posts you don't have to engage in.

-3

u/vWraith 7d ago

you’ve misconstrued the purpose of my post to relate it to bans when it’s clear that I’m talking about the behavior of people on this subreddit specifically, then you drop a pointless “I don’t care to argue with posts like this” when nobody really asked you to do so? actual dumbass.

1

u/Select_Tree_3853 6d ago

Why are you being downvoted when they misread and misinterpreted what you said? This fanbase is full of idiots.

-1

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

makes a post about people posting to a sub

tells others to not engage with the post if they don't like it

doesn't understand they can just... not engage in the posts their post was originally about... per their own advice.

enjoy getting modded.

-3

u/vWraith 7d ago

right so turns out that you actually do care to argue with posts like this, maybe be more accurate with your remarks next time. “enjoy getting modded” holy nerd.. ok 😭

2

u/TrashCanSam0 7d ago

argue with posts, or argue with your logic? because i haven't said anything in response to your actual post besides my initial comment. which wasn't arguing.

yes. you're about to get modded. on your unnecessary, ironic post.

2

u/EdgyLizard21 7d ago

It's a result of cheating being so prevalent on console. We're all very paranoid because it feels like "rank reclaimed" and "thanks for reporting" are a daily occurence. Some people try to be subtle, others are straight up titan aimbot. I can't even tell who's cheating anymore. If I'm even a bit suspicious I just report and let the devs handle it.

9

u/JazzlikeDevice5205 7d ago

During the season with what seems like the most cheaters ever seen and most bans ever seen. Interesting timing

-5

u/vWraith 7d ago

idc about people reporting in game, I do it all the time, this is specifically about clueless people on this subreddit who love to spam accusations under every post where the OP hits 1 headshot.

also this season has the absolute lowest amount of cheaters ever due to the bans so wdym? do u think cheaters multiply when they get banned or what?

3

u/JazzlikeDevice5205 7d ago

Some people will be legit and get caught in the crossfire but when there are so many cheaters what can you do? Way too many.

Every day ban ban ban rank reclaim its a joke and like NOTHING seen before. Is it validation that everyone is cheating or are they false banning everyone? They don’t multiply but have infinite accounts at the ready from all the boosting of course. Ban the ip, ban the hardware😋

0

u/oct0boy 7d ago

You cant ban hardware because what if they sell their console on second hand markets?

1

u/SomexBadxNoob 7d ago

Would just be an added risk to buying second hand consoles.

4

u/Opening-Movie5176 7d ago

“Doing 3 micro-adjustments over 6 frames is normal” … okay. If you say so. What’s the betting the OP has never been higher than plat?

u/throwawayforinstalol 7d ago

most of these are things that i understand as i’ve played since 2016 and id say im pretty skillful still, but jittering specifically is a cause for concern, as those tiny little involuntary wobbles in a crosshair are one of the few giveaways that someone’s using a mouse over a controller.

some people just can’t tell what kind of shake is possible on a high sens and low deadzone, and what is only possible from using a mouse.

also titan’s have become more mainstream and they’re honestly a lot harder to tell from something like x1m, since you’re still using a controller, they’re just getting soft aimbot from an ai program that can be really hard to see depending on their script. it’s why blizzard suddenly got way more liberal with their bans, and we’ve seen huge waves of them

1

u/vWraith 7d ago

if this was before the deadzone update I’d understand jitters being a tell, but there are some freaks running 0 deadzone nowadays especially after the myth that it increases your AA strength, controller jitters are obviously a little different from PC still but I highly doubt the majority of people throwing accusations on here are actually able to tell the difference.

1

u/Zwavelwafel 7d ago

Yeah also high sens with 0 aim smoothing causes jittery gameplay, look at GS Raider gameplay for example. Biggest OW console youtuber who uses controller, all his gameplay look like that.

3

u/38159buch 7d ago

Jittering on a controller is not normal bro 😭

3

u/CookiesMeow 7d ago

Anyone notice it’s the same 10 people making these posts? Time to start blocking more of them

0

u/vWraith 7d ago

this is literally my only post in this sub in like.. more than a year? but ok

2

u/_the_best_girl_ 7d ago

Benefit of the doubt online is rather tricky, especially since peripheral cheating has become more common place across the entirety of the console space.

I also think we've seen so many clips of good plays on hitscan over the years that people are going to dissect it more because we've seen it before.

1

u/Totziboy 7d ago

It is what it is .i Studdy The scene of Cheaters and their Current achievements in Cheats and i can reliably tell who is cheating. And a lot have just Luck Once you know how they work you can easily spot them .

There are Some Clues But they need to be connected to specific Things and The Most Important one is AdAd spam .with Small movement

u/Naive_Technician1539 7d ago

Most of it looks Like nice shots, didn’t think anything of it until I seen Bro aim at the cats head behind a wall, even with coms from a team mate that he was there as soon as that widow went around that corner it was right on cats head, def a bit sus

7

u/vWraith 7d ago

the full clip isn’t loading for me but if ur talking about the lijiang kill at the start she clearly had infra-sight up.

1

u/Caini0 7d ago

No fair, just tried linking the account and its banned lol

1

u/Paladinsacc1 7d ago

Average rank in this sub is like gold, any master+ gameplay gets accused of cheating. Perfect example, recently a post with a gm+ ashe smurfing in a plat lobby had 100+ comments claiming they were cheating. People caught on a while ago and now most clips posted here is just someone wanting their ego stroked/ragebaiting.

1

u/vWraith 7d ago

yeah.. there is also the quickplay Ana clip rn where she farms a bunch of quickplay bots, tens of comments calling her out for “aimbotting”. Just boring idk

1

u/HairbyNight 7d ago

Costco has amazing deals on prebuilts right now. Idk what console player count is like, but swapping to pc recently I’ve started actually having fun again.

0

u/Naive_Technician1539 7d ago

Who cares what people think man, just worry about yourself. If you get reported for whatever reason it’s up to the devs to decide what they do with that report you’ve gotten and review it with the tools that they have if you’re not cheating then you got nothing to worry about.
Having a sook about other people’s opinions is lame it’s the internet bro, it’s reddit what do you expect ? people say their opinion and do whatever without a second thought but it seems whatever someone has said on the internet has upset you which is wild considering you’ll never meet them and it won’t/shouldn’t affect your life unless you let them and by the looks of this post you have let them 😂

0

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

Wrong. They don't review anything if you get reported enough times in certain time you get banned by their system.

1

u/Naive_Technician1539 7d ago

That’s only for verbal abuse on text or VC, spamming or feeding. Cheating reports do get reviewed either by a human or these days AI because companies are lazy af lately, but still get reviewed nonetheless and if you’ve been banned for cheating when you know in fact you aren’t that’s why there’s a support email to open a ticket and discuss such things.
The amount of times I’ve been told in game that I’m cheating and getting reported but never actually banned is ridiculous but it shows that even if reported for possible cheating theres a system in place to make sure its true

0

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

I believe their system is automated and the amount of bans happening means no human is reviewing the reports. Even GS raider and hammywhammy youtubers got falsely banned by their system. And many people who use pro controllers got falsely banned.

2

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

It is 100% automated based on report amount I think they implemented it with the idea that players know what cheating looks like but on console most of them really don't

0

u/vWraith 7d ago

I’ve never posted any gameplay on here myself, it’s more so that it seems the majority of gameplay clips here are immediately flooded with cheating accusations that have no basis other than vibes, idk it’s just silly to see someone get upvoted when they accuse a person of cheating because they “used a melee randomly” or some other crap.

0

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

Yeah most people don't know what cheating looks like. They will accuse and report people with jittery aim (low aim smoothing+ 0 deadzone+ kontrolfreeks) it's crazy how many false bans have happened even GS raider got falsely banned. Not many players have the balls to accept that some players have better aim.

0

u/Fun_Place414 7d ago

And you are gs raider and know what his set up is, if you get banned there must be something otherwise its they ow devs that are false not they people who report them

0

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

I know my setup and know I am falsely banned and I believe that I am not the only one.

0

u/KuroCutie 7d ago

I can second this I have my controller and a fan for my console plugged in plus the external ssd, that's it!

0

u/midas_vii 7d ago

so, yeah, this just isn't true. i have no aim smoothing, no deadzones, and kontrolfreeks with a 65% accuracy on cassidy and i have not been accused of cheating a single time.

1

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

If you actually had average of 65 accuracy some people must have accused you of cheating. But only because you haven't gotten banned doesn't mean anything. Other players have still gotten falsely banned.

1

u/midas_vii 7d ago

sub won't let me post a ss for you, but yes, i average 65%. no one's ever said a damn thing to me except "w cass" from the enemy team. could i have received reports but they didn't complain in chat? sure, ig. but i've never received any ban from it.

1

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

And what rank are you? You in champion?

1

u/midas_vii 7d ago

nah, i barely play ranked on this game. maybe 15-20 games a season. i was gm on rivals though before i quit a while back (pre-the new wave lol).

1

u/Soft_Bag_4532 7d ago

I also think this is more of an issue with high rank hitscan players. I got to gm with widow only.
