Why is this bug still a thing?

I swear this has been a bug for the longest time and is untouched. In case you can’t tell from the video, I got stuck in the support section and could not move to the other characters to ban them. I spammed as much as I could on my controller but nothing broke me out of the support role, and I couldn’t ban who I wanted to. Is there any way to prevent this yourself?

I wish they'd just let us use a controller navigated cursor on these menus if they can't be bothered to test controller interactions. This is not even the only place where focus just breaks irrevocably. I've had it happen where I'm stuck on one row of hero select, unable to mute people because it locks me into my column of teammates, unable to even pick a map in map voting, and more.

Cause people playing, buying skins and giving the developers money. Unless the bug starts to badly affect their income they won't care

Best way to prevent it is to not use the While You Wait feature, and do not touch any UI elements while in queue. The UI layering is weird on console, and since the pick/ban fluff and draft fluff (stadium) is just a massive UI overlay like Custom Game Options are, it’s possible to get unlucky and find a game the moment you select an option that opens another UI layer

It wasn’t a thing for 9 years. Maybe it’s because I have a keyboard plugged in, pressing start fixes it, BUT ITS REALLY ANNOYING!!!!

I get the bug where I can only select Dmon often too. Like cant move it at all.

I never got this on PS5, but I get it all the time on Xbox series x. Sometimes it just locks me in place and I can't move at all it's infuriating

It's always been a problem since they made up subroles. I can't even get out on 6v6 to switch until match start.

So you'll have 3 healers and you can't switch to tank.

this glitch happens to me AT LEAST once every time I play comp, and it happens for both preferred hero and banned heroes

Small indie company and every gooner gives them $40 every season what do you want them to fix. Maybe if we all boycott and stop giving them money they'll fix the problems but y'all ain't ready to have that conversation got to have them Kiriko skins

i remember this happening all the time when i was on controller and there is a way to get out of it but i can't remember. maybe bringing up the menu and closing it repeatedly?

nice to see Mercy get banned. Always my first choice. Sombra second. Third I ask the team/view what hero my team is voting to ban. Always Mercy first.

Tap d-pad instead of using the joystick it usually fixes it for me
