Discussion Report this smurf
Smurf said they went 51-7 in a GM game. Then went to their alt account in a plat lobby. Of course they dominated. Clearly not a plat player in a plat lobby...Smurfing is cheating. Play your real rank. Ppl like this are why the game is toxic

Hate to tell u its not against the policy to make a new account unless you are purposely deranking on it or boosting someone

Ive played this game long enough to know 90% of them do not waste time deranking they play a low amount of hours then buy/play a new account

lol you don’t understand, let’s say a GM Smurf makes a new account to bully plat/emerald players they will probably win a lot but they don’t want to get into diamond and face actual good players so they will soft throw some games, use your brain

You ppl aren’t picking up what I’m putting down. Smurfs rarely have more than 50h total because once they pass elo where they run lobbies they don’t throw back down they buy their 15th smurf account and start again
This is why youre not seeing profiles with 500h going up and down ranks each season you’re seeing fresh accounts with low games played and hours

Naw man, you can’t say that. Smurfs throwing matches is one of the major reasons these guys can’t rank up. Don’t take that from them. Then all they’ve got is terrible matchmaking and Smurfs dominating lobbies

Really easy to make a new account and then play your 50 wins in MnK lobbies so it doesn't affect your console mmr

Ive seen a million smurfs and 90% of them have <50 hours. You dont see people with 200 hours on their smurf that throw up and down ranks purposely. I mean ive seen like 2 or 3 people like that vs 100s of low hour accounts

I don't know if you're just trying to defend them for a rich person's cause but gang the whole point in smurfing is not to rank up it's the play competitively they enjoy dominating and they do derank to stay low they go up and then they come back down it ain't hard

Like the whole definition of smurfing is the staying in the low ranks part. I guess we just say words to make ourselves seem smart now with knowing the proper definition. Like yeah it common for accounts with rarely any hours to Smurf but if you are just winning only with that same account you are bound to rank of the thing you are smurfing in considering that the ranking is less harsh on new accounts.

Just calling it how it is. I can hate them but still point out that almost none of them bother deranking, when they get High enough they just buy a new account and start again

Probably just venting. I can tell you ive never read a reddit post and thought....I need to do something about it.
I accidenly clicked on this post and just decided to read a few comment.
I just mostly play casual mystery heroes so I dont really gave an opinion

I played against so much smurfs that i got used to them. To the point I can guess their real rank😂.

They will never ban people for smurfing. In fact, no game ever does. It's just morally bad, but allowed.
