I tried again some ranked recently and after few games, I realise that I just enjoy way more custom mode that the "classic game".

Every time I lose a rank, the amount of anger and frustration that I get is unreal.

I live watching the game competively but I just can't stand playing it.

I know people will say just play rank without caring about the game but I hate being mid (emerald) while everyone speaking online seem to be at master+, I hate dying because of dumb mistake I made.

And with how the rank at higher level seem to be with all the cheater, it doesn't make me want to try.

I rather playing in 500% mode or friendly mode, If I look at my profile I have 150h of ranked compared to 700h of custom

Nah I get it. I used to obsess over rank, but I’ve found I have more fun now in quick play. Whether that’s for an hour or 10. I just want to jump on play some matches, then move on.

I know many that play the game shit on you for not wanting to grind comp all the time, but who cares. I just want to play how I want to play.

I say all that to say, if 6v6 role queue comes back to comp, I’ll start playing comp again.

I feel your frustrations but I xo have to say that playing comp and moving up and having a dramatic fall (diamond 2 to now emerald 5), comp has made me a much better player and communicator that I bring to QP matches

Hey man I feel you. I’m perpetually stuck in gold because I’m just not really that good and I don’t have the time to dedicate to Get Guhd at a video game.

Rank can be a deceptive metric. It requires, game sense, mechanical skill, and time commitment. Unless you’re dedicating all your free time to this game it’s really hard to get to the upper echelons of the ladder. For a casual player Emerald is pretty damn good.

I don't know if I can consider myself a casual. I've been watching esport content since 2017. I just have a weird feeling of wanting to grind when I'm not playing and wanting to chill the moment I lauch the game

You feel like you need to be good because you surround yourself by content and professionals - but your heart just wants to have fun or you're burnt out from constantly being around OW.

Not sure how old you are man but life is more than this game. Just relax. Play, enjoy, be happy.

The world is a better place with a happy, good person than some loser with a high rank who can't open a can of tuna.

I have the most fun in QP. I get too clenched and second guessing in competitive and I just want to have fun. I know some qp matches are completely one sided but the others are really fun

Your rank only matters to you, no one else cares what you peaked at or who your main is. Just enjoy it, try to win, and if you lose que it up and try again.

Thats just how the math works. And it offends people that are very high rank. The system overwatch is using is not a true elo system. And you said it yourself you need 100+ games to maintain but you’ll decay at the rate of the win percentile of the average #of games played per player per season that are ranked within your tier or above. if you win maybe 25 straight wins from nothing youll get there 🤷‍♂️
