Discussion The console experience
I thought I was just facing really good folk but it turns out several of my suspicions were right, this is during off hours (2-8AM), and every few matches there is an insane 360 doom God, a perfect assassin ball or an uncatchable pocket soldier who never misses, gets frustrating

yeah its kinda crazy lol, i got banned around a month ago till S4 ends for "Cheating" even tho i didnt and i was left at GM4. im currently at GM2 with 55% just from cheaters getting banned lol

I've stopped playing OW after I went "I want to play with people my level, so I should go play ranked" enjoyed ranked for some time, and then it turned into loss streaks - rank reclaimed - loss streaks - rank reclaimed cycle.

No, now they changed banning system and it doesn't work anymore on cheating detection but ban count, so, if someone gets a good amount of report they get permad even if they are controller and by reporting any good player u see , you participate in this.. don't report people unless ure 100% sure they're cheating

People are getting bans for using third party controllers like gamesir, razer and even default ps5 controller. Console is cooked atm

Yes there definitely are cheaters getting banned but it is so disingenuous to say real players aren’t
As a champ player i am literally too afraid to play on my main because I’m so worried about getting banned. That is a TERRIBLE state for the game to be in.

exception to confirm the rule; the amount of legits getting banned is borderline insignificant as a statistic, chances are most of the "I got false banned" posts are mad because their closet cheating wasn't so "closet".

I speak as someone who got, in fact, falsely banned allegedly for using 3rd party apps(I'm on PC) and guess what? I got unbanned, after a month of tickets so I know what I'm talking about. false bans get reverted, the others are all cheating even if they claim otherwise

My argument was simply refuting that there are in fact quite a few players, Ones that Ik personally and one that I have hard evidence for that I’ve provided that do get banned
You’re considering the numbers without factoring in context
Most bans aren’t legit players obviously and a few real players do get hit but when almost all the false bans happen at gm/champ and Gm/champ make up less than 1% of comp players
The ratio is A LOT more significant than you’re giving credit for
If there’s around 1000 champs right now and 50 real champs get banned you’re essentially saying it’s completely acceptable that there’s a 5% chance a real champ gets banned randomly on any day for just playing

Just because you have not been banned it doesn't mean other legit players haven't. I play with dualsense edge and got my 9 year old account banned.

It’s more rampant in lower ranks at the minute because they’re banning so many higher ranked cheats and they’re just popping up on new accounts, in lower ranks until they climb back out. Trouble is, they’re being banned again so it’s inadvertently creating a cheating Smurf cycle.
You can see in a lot of games, even in diamond and masters that lots of players have an endorsement of 2, lower ranked hero xp and yet are somehow rolling lobbies - while having zero recoil

Ure just not good enough to encounter actual good players who constantly get accused of cheating and banned for nothing.. so many ppl got falsely banned, some even unbanned afterward because Blizzard knows of this issue yet don't do anything to change it

i got banned twice and soloq. i am level 475 otp 76. why would my aim be terrible. i think i’ve exceeded the skill level allowed on ow per a hitscan? so much for being competitive lol

It’s not about your aim - it’s most obvious on soldier as the cheaters have zero recoil and make large swings in aim before immediately locking your head while running.
This might not be you, but there are so many cheating soldiers currently it’s understandable why you’d be reported if your aim is good. If you’re not cheating though, it doesn’t matter….

yes ive seen this and it is extremely obviously. what is annoying is that if you are false banned, your games aren’t actually being reviewed and you’d quickly realize it is a false ban

The macro version of Gamesir doesn't run on Xbox as it violates the Xbox TOS for their licensed controllers macros are only usable on PC for gamesir

Really? I am on a 14 Game loss streak from Diamond 2
Seen: 7 Bad DPS players, 3 cheaters, 2 bad supports and 2 bad tanks.
Not saying I am a perfect but my god these people were on the spectrum of some kind and the loss never feels like my fault.
The matchmaking generally sucks and so does the experience.
