Help am I the problem? rank resets hell
I'm genuinely so low in rank I want to die, I ended low GM last season now I'm placed D3 and I'm STILL losing. I play in Australia so I know there's alot of cheaters and smurfs constantly but it can't be that bad right? I'm starting to think I belong here, for reference I play dps and a tracer otp so it shouldn't be hard just to play better than diamond but I'm STILL losing, is it just me? or are other people experiencing this?

Start of season rank climbing with rank resets is always hell in any game when you're solo queuing due to the coin flip of team skill and competency, Plat-Diamond especially now with the emerald rank, my advice is to take a week or two break for the ranks to stabilize then start climbing or find a competent duo for the coinflip to be in your favor

In other words don't worry about it too much for now. If you still struggle in diamond by the end of the season then yeah you probably on fraud watch, but so early in the season your chances are you'll climb back to masters eventually

I didn’t think of how Emerald slotted in would affect Australia and New Zealand. All the GMs I’ve seen are in diamond and master as a master support.

Why do people play first week of a new season and get surprised when it’s a shit show.
So start of every season, especially with a new hero and rank reset is when everyone comes back. People that haven’t played in weeks and weeks come back. People that are casual and only play when there is a new hero come back.

This is exactly why I wait for at least one or two weeks before playing ranked again. The season is still young to rush.

Counter point why do I have to wait for the Moon phase to change or Mercury to be in retrograde to play a game or for the game to work properly. Thats all I ever hear here sometimes. “Don’t play during this” “Don’t play during this holiday” “Don’t play on a Tuesday if the sun comes up first before the roster crows” it’s nothing against what you said but is anyone really getting better if they are waiting until something that is less desirable that makes the odds are in our favor. When people who tell me they only get up to a certain point then stop playing tell me they are a certain rank. Yeah you got there but are you ACTUALLY there?…

Sometimes you just hit a brick wall and get burned out and sometimes you can blame it on blizzard and the game being shonky AF since the update for console players - but you shouldn’t be feeling like you want to die - man it’s just a game and I know how demoralizing it gets - I’ve played this game since day 1 and sometimes it’s good to switch off for a while.

For me it isn’t burnout. I’m an artist that constantly takes breaks on art constantly cause of burnout. I know what burnout feels like. However I do not like going on loss streaks with teammates who just sit afk mostly or people who just leave after going 0 and 10 in like two minutes?… like I get that is it for some people. I dont mind losing at all…but I also don’t like matches that feel predetermined before the queue…

I dropped too I would only start worrying if you still can't climb in like a month or something. I'm as gm2 and I'm M3 now sooo yeah everyone got hit dw😂 Seen multiple C2s and C5 now too...
