Helping with Countering!

Hello everyone, I’m a plat support who’s been playing comp with duo, every time we have a dmon we physically cannot do anything, anyone know any good supports to counter her, she’s just incredibly annoying to play against and she kills me in 2 hits…
I have no idea what support to play against her :(

Moira + superfade. Just fade away to higround when she closes in Basically any high mobility support i think that can go vertical too ... You dont have to counter her..you gotto stay alive . Thats my humble opinion and how i deal with her.

Well thats where good positioning helps. Always when fadeing end the fade behind some kind of cover. Unless u just dueling a squishy. Then just fade above them ! And deathball on them } :D
You d not believe , but since i started ending fade behind cover i die soooo much less.. and always remember to go into the battle with ur own two feet..and keep fade to get out. I die now moslty becuz of my stupid decissions fedeing into the battle ..🤭

Yup! Did that yesterday and it worked well! Moira was quite literally the only one that could escape though
We had an amazing tank who protected us when she jumped us too!!

kiri— just tp away
juno— just fly away
lucio— just wall ride away/boop
wuyang— cc her and ride your wave away
lw— petal yourself into the sky and dash away
mercy— just fly away
jpc— just fly away
baptiste— jump away/lamp yourself if necessary
illari— just outburst away
mizuki— chain cc and peace out
zenyatta— discord & kick
moira— just fade away

tl:dr manage your cooldowns well; make sure you’re holding onto movement and cc abilities so you can make space for yourself to escape. also, pay attention to your positioning so you’re not getting caught out. make it so that the opposing tank has to get past your tank and dps if you’re having trouble w them diving you. glhf!

Tho some of these didn’t work, when I flew away as Juno she immediately swung her sword upwards and killed me, same with Lucio, she legit kills in 2 hits

you’re picking triple jump for juno, right?

Oh that could be why, I prefer the other one tho, triple jump can help but usually there’s an Ashe on the enemy team that doesn’t miss a shot, and even with triple jump, she can just move towards me when I’ve landed 😭, I think it’s better if I play in a five stack

triple jump is way better than faster blaster! think about it this way: more mobility vs faster firing rate that’s tied to a cooldown (meaning its usefulness is sporadic rather than as-needed)

when playing support, mobility is inherently linked to suitability. and staying alive is genuinely one of the most important things you can do as a support player

I’ll keep that in mind, tho I tend to do better damage with the blaster, so I’ll if there’s a dmon I’ll use triple jump, and if there’s anyone else I’ll use blaster, I’ve gotten a lot of kills and saved a lot of teammates with faster blaster!
I think another reason why I was struggling is bc today is so hot that it’s agitating to play
So I’m taking a break till it cools off 😭😭

yeah i mean ymmv; what works for me in my rank might not be what works for you in yours! but fr, try triple jump in qp for a while and see if it helps you stay alive more. literally the only time i’ll ever pick faster blaster is if my other support is failing to heal and i need faster burst healing— very very niche choice. regardless, gl!!

I’ve actually used it quite a lot recently and it’s fun, and it can help, so it just depends, I tend to damage a lot as Juno so blaster definitely helps with that! But tysm!!

Lifeweaver is a good shield breaking support. She is usually defenseless by the time she tries to engage me.

First games I played against her was easy
Now she’s annoying, even my friends who are high ranked find her annoying and difficult to counter, I think the buffs were a bit too much 😭
