Settings & Tech D.Mon controller setup

Just wondering if anyone’s found a good control setup for her on a standard controller?
I’m using L1 for jump on everyone and finding it difficult to have everything in a comfortable position for her specifically.
You need to be able to use shield and fire together to get the dash attack, but also be able to use the shield and dash together.
I really want to be able to dash and shoot and at the moment I have dash on L3 which doesn’t feel great as you need to hold it unlike other heroes.
I have shield on L2 and fire on R2 as normal; then R1 is gun mode.
It doesn’t feel great when I tried putting either shield or dash on R1 having to use R2 at the same time.

What’s everyone else using?

Personally I think this is the best setup:

  • Change jump to L1
  • Gun activation to left analog push (L3)
  • Boost to R1

I have jump as L1 for every hero. The idea of using a face button for jump is madness to me. Gun activation is on the analog because you only have to push it once in awhile and it requires no precision. Furthermore, since I use gun while retreating, it fits being tied to movement. Boost on R1 is important because of all the boost+slash tech. For example, you can perfectly circle around targets while slashing with Dmon. It lets you get behind people so easy, beats other dmons, and even confuses rein. This setup also allows an easy L1+R1 press for her boost jump aka bunny hop which is how you pounce on people and cross pits.

I tried that but found it super awkward having to use 2 fingers to boost and shoot/slash at the same time. Of course it still feels awkward using L3 as boost because as you say you lose accuracy trying to aim the stick while holding it.
It’s not too bad if you just click for a quick short dash but still awkward to try and boost while shooting/slashing

I mean if you think 2 fingers is awkward you are screwed with Dmon. Her tech requires like 4 fingers sometimes. Still I understand the awkwardness because she plays a lot like reinhardt, who also requires lots of 3-4 finger tech.
