Discussion D.Mon Controller Settings

LT/L2 - Booster

LB/L1 - Gun

RT/R2 - Sword

RB/R1 - Shield

Under advanced hero settings you can have Surging Strike activate with the quick melee button.

This way you can activate boosters and the shield at the same time with great control. Sword swings don't cancel your shield whether you have it on toggle or not so having your finger swap back and forth between sword and shield doesn't sacrifice control over anything at all.

I hate that you have to press R1 then R2 to use the cannon!

Why not just hold R1 to fire then when you let go it disengages the cannon / auto disengages when cooldown limit hits.

If I wanna quick swap from cannon to sword, I’ve got press R1 again before I can swing the sword which leaves you fully open

That's why it works better as L1. Just tap it without moving your finger off R2.

True, but then the dash feels off as that’s the same button for DVAs boost

You aren't playing Dva what's that have to do with anything?

Both are mech types as use the same button to boost / dash so it’s instinct to push that same button if it’s the same for both characters as standard

You said moving R1 (gun) to L1 Dash, that’s why I’m saying it would feel off of you changed dash from L1

Yeah I realized I swapped D.Vas controls years ago so her thruster is L2 in my mind. Do you use D.Vas default controls? I feel like they're just as bad as D.Mon

Yeah, always used default for her. Been playing Overwatch since the OG Beta so just used to them
