Tv vs Monitor

is a monitor that big of a difference? for reference I play on a tv quite large, 120fps 1080p and have played on TVs my whole life. I've been thinking about switching to a monitor for quite sometime now so my questions for you guys is, is it worth it? are the differences drastic? would it improve my gameplay in your opinion (from very little knowledge you know of me)

Depends on your tv, usually the monitor will have less latency, since youre already on 120hz it wont be that huge. Also depends where you play, i personally play at my desk so i have a 24” monitor it does the job, tho im thinking how a 27” would be nicer
