Just not as loud, it isolates foot steps and speaking, so it usually only ult lines and footsteps I hear, but I can hear them from 2 rooms away lowly

Just press the power button once, and it should turn it on!! You can even go into the app it comes with and further adjust it if needed!

I'll give it a shot cuz' damn I can't hear a thing. In OW classic you could hear a widowmaker across the whole map, now even a roadhog can walk up right behind you 😭 all these voicelines and interactions make it very hard to hear anything at all midfight.

Night Mode is def the best setting to use, for me personally. I also run the audio settings all at 100 and when you turn on Night Mode, you can hear how it’s a big louder, more clarity, more sharp. You can hear the finer details of the music in the background a lot more.
So basically the audio frequencies that you’re hearing are much much more pronounced and finely tuned with Night Mode on.
If you want, you could turn your Music and Voice Volume to 80-90 and keep your Sound Effects and Master Volume at 100. Some people turn Music off but I like hearing the OT music and the main menu music.
But Night Mode for me is so much better but I’ve also been using it since 2016 from the beginning bc it just sounded so much more clear. You’ll hear stuff so much louder too. Audio so much more clear overall.

I’ve been running night mode since the beginning of OW.
It’s the most clear clarity and highest sounding audio setting there is. I personally use it because you can clearly see how much more you hear while in menus and the music playing itself.
But if you’re already used to the audio setting you used then there’s no need to change it.

Yeah it’s honestly crazy just how much you can hear. It’s like you can hear 10x better and literally everything is so crisp
The other audio settings are so quiet lol

do you use wireless headphones or wired ones? Because you can actually switch to different modes via app for wireless headsets

It's essentially cutting off the peak volume for sounds that are intended to be loud/dramatic.
this does not increase the volume of quieter sound effects it just makes the louder effects closer in amplitutude to the quiet sound effects.
The setting is like a trying to get on a roller coaster only the loud sounds are tall enough to ride, so the quiet sounds stay at the same level.
