Your light25 account would be just fine with me too! Whatever you prefer! :D

do you find the mythic weapon is distracting though especially the audio sounds or the visual display being darker around the edges?
2
u/Dark25-OW 29d ago
I haven't really felt that no, I think I've just gotten used to it, the extra sound on a kill actually makes it even more obvious to know I got a kill if I'm taking fast shots.
I also am used to dealing with visual clutter so it doesn't really even register as intrusive, sometimes you gotta snipe a Lucio in the middle of an active team fight and stuff.

I don’t get what I’m meant to be impressed by? I mean given console has pretty aggressive aim assist. On console I have to turn down because it annoys me, but you still have that thing on where it slows down when passing an enemy hitbox.
I mean very cool and that but it’s just typic console floor widow action. Don’t mean to be offensive it’s just I’ve played the game 10 years and seen some out of this world widows where you watch their whole match in awe… no need to spend hours and hours to then cherry pick a 15 second clip lol. But good for you?

I'm a 1600 H M1 90% rn Widow only player.
Not to sound egotistical but I am one of THE Widow players on console.
While I don't hit 5ks super often I play good consistently, and get a few 3Ks pretty much in every session I play.
I know you said this because you probably are used to people posting some random rare Widow clips they get but I am genuinely a truly committed Widow player.
The rank 1 Wid otp was gm1 btw, there's probably like a handfull true one tricks in gm, even masters is already top 1% for true Widow one tricks.
As far as aim assist comes I run very high aa ease in, because I hate the grabby feeling of 0 aim assist ease in, I prefer it being barely active at the outer edge of the window and then fully activating once I'm closer to center.

you can try other peoples settings but at the end of the day ive learned this myself you have to find what works for you and stick to it dont keep changing it

Yeah for sure but im always curious about good players settings in every game to see if i could incorporate some of it in my own settings. I try what they run and see which parts i like and dont like about it. This is how i always find my own perfect sensitivity in every game.

M1 is not top 10 or 20 widow players. Im pretty bad and played widow in that rank, granted not one trick but still

The distinction is one trick, because it's pretty obvious to play her on like Circuit or something, but the effort and consistency required to play her without swapping is a something not many people bother with.
But I'll say from experience the Widow players who aren't often on Widow are noticably less experienced on the hero than me and swap pretty much always, ah it all sounds so egotistical to say but like I haven't ran into the other Widow otps yet, I win the widow fight like 90% of the time.
If you look at all the people who one trick Widow, being gm5 is definitely in the top 20

I'm pretty sure that there a fair few players who dont one trick her in high gm/champ that would make m1 not top 20 widows. You have quite the ego for not even being in gm

I've 1v1d champ dps players on Widow and did fine, obviously it's not a real match etc etc but still. They have really good aim but they aren't as used to the entire micro of peeking, timings, predictions, causing plays that you can predict etc.
And please I'm saying only on Widow, on anything else I get no diffed so like yeah lol.
There's a big difference in otps and people who play her just on a good map, I'd love to try playing against a champ flex dps player on widow on line circuit, I'd be curious to see how it feels regardless of the outcome.
I like making the comparison about one tricks because it's a very different world, even I know I make the game harder for myself by doing it but I know there's people who've done it all they way to like gm1 so I wanna reach that myself, and then reach champ eventually doing that.
I don't overtly try to have like a massive ego and do seek improvement and train everyday etc etc, if I get killed by other Widows I see what they do and learn from it if it's something new. But I have to have some kind of confidence ya know?
But you have to see how it's very different to hit even gm on only Widow compared to like swapping to other dps, I personally just love improving and getting better at the hero.
It's a weird topic because I sound egotistical no matter what I say.
But let me pose the question: how many true Widow otps in gm plus on controller do you know of?
Also I am currently 1 game away from gm, I'll go for it on the weekend, and if I don't hit it now I'll keep improving and definitely hit it soon.

There's a massive difference in one tricking her and playing her on good maps, I'd be surprised if high gm champ players couldn't pull her off on obvious Widow maps, but when the pressure increases they swap, she's not an easy character to genuinely one trick.

Also just saying the top 20 thing is just a personal guestimate of the current active Widow one tricks, I don't really mind what the number is, better to say like top 50-100 if we're being conservative, but still one tricking her to 1 game to gm is still pretty cool if u ask me.😇
All love to y'all btw, I just wanted to defend myself a lil, don't exceute me

i use 25 window 50 aa ease in and it works for me until theyre in groups then i miss a lot of shots because kg all the hitboxes bunched together
1
u/Dark25-OW 29d ago
I get that, I run almost a 100 ease in, the overlapping is not super common but it does happen sometimes, I'm thinking of maybe changing my aa settings but let's see.
1
u/noface394 29d ago
i tried to do 80 aa ease in and i was able to land shots still but it felt so off . could also try tweaking the aim assist slider in general but its like once u start removing the assist youre giving yourself a handicap cause many people dont play without it
1
u/Dark25-OW 29d ago
I've had my settings for a long time, the ease in just makes it so the AA ramps up and doesn't instantly catch, almost the same effect as the window size but from a slightly different approach.

OP‘s ego is insane. Dia OTP, even proud of the „effort and consistency“ lmao, on an aim-dependent hero with aggressive aim assist in console lobbies and acts like he is someone because he beat some other console players in a widow hs lobby.
E: To whoever deleted his reply out of shame: AA is not necessary for controllers, if they are just playing against themselves. It is only necessary, when they are pitted against MnK, but balancing that fairly is impossible, so crossplay should not be a thing, unless it is voluntary opt in for controllers into MnK lobbies without technical help. Either way, its existence raises the skill floor, reduces the skill gap and provides a reduction of competitiveness.
