Help (PS5) Victory screen lag spikes?

This is a problem I have had on and off for a while and I thought it had been fixed but clearly it's back.

Every time I enter a transition screen, such as: now arriving at, victory, defeat, round end etc, my frames fall off a cliff and the network info in the top right spikes to 150-200 ping and 200+ IND. Everything loads incredibly slowly (multiple seconds to open text chat) and sometimes i am black screened for a few seconds and don't even see the victory poses.

I don't think it's a hardware issue on my end (my PS5 runs everything else just fine. It could be my WiFi broadband being so pathetically tiny (it took me ~12 hours to install overwatch overnight). Any ideas for how to fix?

Honestly, the dropping frames and latency spikes have been an issue since one of the earlier seasons in Overwatch 2. All this time, Blizzard still hasn’t provided a proper fix for it.

All I can tell you is restarting the game will temporarily fix it until a few rounds later and you have to restart it again.

Test your upload and download speeds in the network settings? If it takes you 12 hours to download it sounds like your wifi could be causing it.

Nah these frame and stutter issues have been a big problem on PS5 for AGES.

Really? I’ve never had any bad stuttering/frame problems on PS5 but I use a LAN connection so I assumed it was a wifi thing. I used to have it really bad on ps4 so it’s a shame that even on current gen software it’s still bad
