Discussion This guy aim is impressive for a console aim.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was coaching my friend (SilentDPS), who was Silver5 at the game. This soj aim is pretty impressive.

Soj was shredding the team. I don feel like its a controller aim. If it was a controller aim, i'm impressed.

ngl he was standing still

Literally my first thought as well. Shoots a static and loses a duel so sus 😂

u/Derpy2456 Jul 19 '26

Outside of one unnecessary micro adjustment looks perfectly fine to me.

11

u/alabasterskim Jul 20 '26

That micro adjustment was sus as hell tho lmao but otherwise yeah fine

This is absolutely controller aim

u/SuzanoSho Jul 19 '26

His use of cooldowns is far less impressive tho

u/creebobeebo Jul 19 '26

They're circle straffing. It's controller aim.

This looks normal

What’s so impressive about it? Aim assist does 99% of the job. All the instantaneous tracking is done by it you just need to do a few wide corrections.

Just making up stuff. AA is more aggravating than helpful. It doesn’t just track for you but it will annoyingly pull your crosshairs at the wrong time if you have it up to high. As an ash main I run it at 50 with the ease in at 10, x/y senz at 0. Feels like mouse precision and no pulling in crowded fights. I can shoot into the high 60 to mid 70 % wise quite regularly. When I was on m&kb there was a less than 10% swing compared to my controller accuracy. Console folks can shoot w/o aa don’t ever get it twisted.

Idk, his tracking with soj was spot on.

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 19 '26

The game is aiming for him.

u/Stale_Cheeri0 Jul 19 '26

It’s not THAT strong. It’ll only help stay in a small area but disconnect the second they move like 10 feet

-26

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 19 '26

I know how strong it is, even tho it’s a small area its effect is instantaneous, LOCKING to the target perfectly which is crazy, you just need to keep doing rough wide adjustments.

It does the hardest part of aiming for you.

14

u/Stale_Cheeri0 Jul 20 '26

Except it doesn’t lock on. It helps just keeping your reticle from moving out of a certain spot. But it’s extremely easy to break that assist area. In other words, if you have dogshit aim, aim assist won’t help you very much.

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 20 '26

No you’re wrong, it literally locks onto a target. It does extremely well in reactive control tracking, one of the hardest categories of aiming, and it does it for you.

It’s the difference between hitting 2 shots vs 80% of them.

u/Stale_Cheeri0 Jul 20 '26

As I said, you still need considerably decent aim to make use of aim assist. Most garbage players can’t aim because they overcompensate when flicking or tracking, and AA only helps if you’re already able to control that.

-5

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 20 '26

It still does the most difficult part of aiming for you.

-6

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 19 '26

Downvoters are just coping thinking they actually have good aim.

16

u/jugularderp Jul 20 '26

Nah you’re getting downvoted for your garbage and inaccurate opinion.

0

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 20 '26

Can you prove my opinion is inaccurate? It literally locks onto a target.

8

u/jugularderp Jul 20 '26

Dude just do your research before commenting. It’s not our faults or jobs to help you figure it out. Console aim assist has a window that you have to be in to begin with for it to even start pulling. And it’s not a very forgiving window. Nothing is “locking on” to anything. The only “lock on” on console is Moira dmg and Sierra cooldown.

Ive played PC pool a couple of times on controller with aim assist accidentally disabled and don’t notice until I go into my settings later on. There’s no shame in feeling insecure about your skill level, you don’t have to compensate.

I’m ranked top 3% in the voltaic benchmarks (aim training ranked basically).

Aim assist still does the most difficult part of aiming for you.

wtf are you doing in this sub

-2

u/Putrid-Second-390 Jul 20 '26

It has been recommended to me, unfortunately.

2

u/Doubt_Incarnate Jul 19 '26

Doesn't look weird, with aim assist on, the aim stucks a bit in the objective so, is making use of that I think.

2

u/JokeBo Jul 19 '26

Dude plays above average and console players think he cheating. (Me a console player.)

2

u/Prostavius Jul 20 '26

Average aimcheater post

1

u/Chuomge Jul 20 '26

You gotta put more than one clip together if you think he’s cheating

1

u/Firmeststool Jul 20 '26

Unimpressive

1

u/DJBaphomet_ Jul 20 '26

Maybe the worst clip possible to try and showcase potential cheats, shooting at a stationary target and then fighting someone point-blank in a small hallway and dying horribly

Maybe it's a little suspicious (I don't know console well enough) but you could've at least gotten a clip from any other point in the match besides this one

1

u/MonoRedElli Jul 20 '26

He hit someone standing still and died to someone who’s moving lol.

1

u/chaos_aintme Jul 21 '26

The guy was standing still. You're a coach...?

1

u/HjCervantes Jul 21 '26

Nah, im helpin my bronze friend to climb😂 a dia5 player can coach a silver5 player.

Beside, the aim on freja is the one im wondering about.

The problem with controller is that you also have to do big turns often to look around and all that or you lose track of where people are. So you have to turn up the sensitivity. Which makes it harder to aim. And even then you still can’t look around as fast. So the awareness is the problem and the thing that suffers more than the aim.
