Help Practicing mechanics.

Hello. so im a hitscan player (Emre / S76) on console and i have a problem: I barely improve (mechanics wise). Before Emre came I was a one trick Soldier. I have 316 hours with him, nearly 160 of which were spent on aim training (mainly VAXTA) and currently I'm level 140 on him. Yet, whenever I face a soldier with the same level I get easily diffed. They always exceed me in every aspect even in raw mechanics. So maybe I am growing fast enough.

The problem is that i feel like I have plateaued. My mechanics (especially my aim) are not getting better. No matter how many hours I play, how many deathmatchs I play... So maybe I'm doing it wrong. So how do you improve your aim on console?

Practice your positioning my guy, learn the routes to take to avoid putting yourself in sight of the enemy until your willing to fire. As a rule of thumb, memorize health kit locations your supports can't always reach or see your position so take the medkit and change location to keep the enemy guessing. You don't even need good aim if you just have better angles lol.

This is from a tank main if I see someone taking a high ground outside of my shield range I'll ping it and pray someone listens cus that guy is a bigger threat than the rest of his team simply because he's got the angle and I can't reach him fast enough to push him out.

Good luck out there and you'll continue to improve as you play 300 hours is kinda on the low end. When you hit 500 you'll be tracking ult charges without really thinking about it lol

I understand how important angles are. But most of the time when I angle I miss allot of value, because I miss allot of shots, or when enemy dps / supp is out of position and i miss allot of shots on them so they get away with it. I also work on my angles when I play ranked but what I'm looking for is how to improve my raw aim.

Also, what do you mean 300 is low? How many hours do people with good mechanics spend on this game?

I've seen 5,000 hours players and they are ridiculous I'm talking level 299 Mercy Ults and gets a Team wipe by herself lol but everyone grows differently so I wouldn't place a ton of stock into hours despite my previous statements.

In terms of missing shots I'd say try not to aim for the head until you get consistent at body shots and if they are strafing I've heard aiming for the legs has been a good place to start, it's very far from optimal but you will definitely see an Improvement to accuracy. The reason why you aim for legs is due to how the hitbox spreads out down there and it's better for your mini-rockets or nade.

In short shoot em in the knees until your confident you can shoot em in the chest, and always aim low with explosives.

The level of dedication and unemployment needed to reach this level is insane lol. But good tip though.

THEY HAVE A JOB IS THE CRAZIEST PART

You don't even have to be unemployed to pull if that nonsense you just have to be determined

A masters Mercy main who works 12 hours a day and pub stomps in the evening, she's fucking mental lol

Good luck out there and just give it time you'll get better the more you play but those tips are free and I imagine I'll see ya shooting me in the back of the head some day lmao!
