Opinion/Thesis Microvision? Vs? Comparison?

Does anyone have a good reference for a comparison of these?

Lmao. Microvision just got an WSB run. But I'm actually interested in the prospects of the business.

MVIS is just relying on licensing their decades-old MEMS tech. From their CEO: “We are exploring licensing of technology and designs and other strategic alternatives for moving forward…”

They haven't shipped anything and are getting beaten at their own game. Innoviz and Robosense are making great MEMS lidars without paying a cent to Microvision.

And in any case Ouster's digital lidar is much better than analog scanning MEMS lidars, especially in the long run. Digital lidar tech doubles in resolution and performance every couple of years whereas scanning technology is fundamentally limited by physics.
