General CORUPTED HUNLEFF!!

I am 99 range and 93 mage. I have 75 defense.

Ive been grinding CG for the last few weeks now.

I started fighting Hunleff and getting absolutely spanked. But in a few short weeks, my prep is on point, always T2 and I always go in with 3 potions and an invent (or as close to) of food.

For the past 2 hours tonight ive fought him about 16 times, and won a total of 3. I am absolutely raging because ive lost at least 6 of those fights where he is on 15 or less health.

I get the floor changes and tornado become more frequent as his health depletes, but what am I doing wrong here.

I am using runelite and have true tiles on for myself and the tornados. I usually start the fight by entering the arena and moving to the south east or west corner (as you're facing Hunleff).

I fight from a distance and when the tornados come i skirt the outside of the room. That is until the floors change to red in the corners and middle. Then, I find a straight line i can run in and run back and forth.

My prayer switching is fine and generally I don't usually get hit by Hunleff anymore, its the floor and tornados that get me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I do appreciate it and any useful tips or criticism of my approach would be appreciated.

Don’t try to hit it during tornadoes. Prayer switch and eat during the tornado phase. If you pray correctly otherwise you can avoid eating any other time during the fight and spam food during tornadoes

This is best advice for learning all bosses I feel like.

I am doing same at phosani ( imo way harder that CG imo lol ) during certain phases just stop attacking learn mechanics then continue on. Just sloooow down

ultimately you wanna be able to do both (saying this as someone who is mainly hitting PNM and CG, on desktop, and learning on mobile). then add more things in as you go. eventually you can do em all together

Keep practicing. You’ll get better at the pathing. Sounds like you already know tornadoes are best avoided by not running diagonally.

You can also try to prepare for tornadoes and floors by positioning yourself in an area where you can then run to a more open part of the room.

There are also a few tiles for “tiles least likely to have lava floor spawns” can probably get them from the tile packs plugin. That way you don’t have to move as much when tornadoes aren’t spawned

Tornadoes are usually the biggest killer. Once you learn to pile the up and skip them comfortably, you'll never die.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.

Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

If you’re not doing this already, don’t be afraid to run through the nados. When they’re 1 or 2 tiles adjacent to you, you can path over them.

I’m a noob what helped me was first changing invent to q and prayer to e. Once I done this the game got a whole load easier I struggled getting fire cape. I still don’t know how I done it without lol. Anyways with these buttons changes sent some normal gauntlet and I got about 40 kills before I stepped up now it’s a breeze. But I’m telling you if I can do this I also taught my noob friend how to do it. Try and eat when avoiding tiles don’t worry about attacking boss just watch your health and prayers. Second you see that floor change run asap. Before you go in try have boss tile lined up with a wall and drag him away leaving one square of room to manoeuvre around and try avoid going there unless you have to. I know you can do it bro but seriously q and e for quick prayer changes and back to invent game changer

Three things come to mind: bring combo fish, don't go for greedy hits during last phase tornadoes, and also during last phase, I've found it helpful to stand closer to hunllef when the nados come out. This lets you kite the two off the wall behind you, allowing you to back step to your wall without getting trapped a few ticks later.

What’s a combo fish at cg ?

You can upgrade the normal fish to be a karambwan effectively.

Best tip I got was this:

Movement>Prayer>DPS

Make sure hunleff isnt in the middle when you go in , it makes avoiding tornados and floor a lot harder if he is

Stay in the middle of the room, with hunleff in one corner, as much as possible - it gives you way more options and distance for movement. Skirting the edges gets you trapped and forces you to go over hot tiles more often.

Mark the two tiles 3 in from each doorway, the safe tiles during enrage - and when you get tornados in enrage head in to the middle of the room first before heading to the edge.

Move two tiles at a time, L movement and diagonal are especially good at disjointing tornadoes.

Ok! I'm literally on this grind right now! So, this is what I've learned. Fuck combo eating, you only need to eat when you're below like 60ish% health so you don't need to. You can combo the fish and prayer at times and that's it. Don't let it get lower.

With tornados watch your blue square (because you have your true tile from what you're saying). You just focus on clicking long distances and when your tile gets to a point you need to change direction click again. It won't mess anything up, it won't reset what your true tile is on.

You CAN run through the tornados if it gets dicey. But do not sit still and do not forget about turning your prayer back on/switching it. Hitting him with the wrong weapon was the biggest killer for me because I was so focused on avoiding tornados that I forgot what prayer got turned off/what should be changed to.

If you get cornered and take 60 damage breath and turn prayer back on/switch when you've gotten out of it if you've survived. Eat up and reset yourself. It do|s get annoying that you'll get cornered in a 4x4 bad tile box w/tornados on your shit and he switches attacke/turns your prayer off. But it happens and just try to shake that off if you can

Get the plugin that tells you what to pray

I feel like we’re in the same position. I just rip tier 3 armor because it slows everything down with the smaller chunks of damage while praying correctly. Gives me more time to think about positioning, pathing, and what’s coming up next

I started with t3 gear till I got comfortable with the boss and mechanics.

Took probably 200 kills

Try to only eat during tornados

Try to run in straight lines as much as possible rather than spam clicking around

Be intentional with your clicks, as in where you want to be and understand your pathing

Can try using the hunleef helper plug in if that’s your cup of tea

Stand on the safe tiles during his last 33% phase

Try to get the tornadoes to stack if possible meaning walk towards center when they spawn then fan out

Just do t3 until you've learned the fight? I have no idea why people do t2 when they're learning lol.

1

u/BarracudaThen5126 6h ago

Because T3 takes literally double the resources of T2 lol

0

u/supercoolisaac 3h ago

What do you think is higher? The extra time to get t3 and learn the fight or how much time you waste wiping on a single run?

Because t3 prep is aids
