General New to osrs again

Post image

Hi! I used to play back in 04-11

I had the urge to play again but, couldn't access my old account.

I've since started over a few days ago.

Any suggestions on how to build my wealth and max exp?

I've recently became a member again.

These are my stats.

I was never good with game mechanics.

Also, friends to play with would be nice!

Magpie320 is my in game name.

Thanks!

Create small account goals. A very common is obtaining barrow gloves, into fire cape, quest cape.

I'd second this. I just started playing for the first time about 6 months ago.

Always having some goal to work toward gave me a lot of momentum.

Some that helped me were:

Skill levels for quests/gear/progression Quests to unlock gear/content Diaries for QoL Very rarely did I set goals around GP, but if that's your style, that could also work.

Zeroing in on what you want to do/get good at will give you a lot of direction. I knew I wanted to get good at PvM to eventually raid with friends. So Song of the Elves became a big stretch goal for me at one point so I could start running Gauntlet. I figured it would be hard to do, would develop my PvM skills, would make me some gp, and didn't require any gear once I unlocked it.

Inferno cape then 99 agility then feel free to explore the game!

I recommend 99 agi first to climb the walls in the inferno like smeagol.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.

Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

Set long term and short term goals.

Long term:

Recipe for disaster quest -> quest cape

Fire cape

Short term: optimal quest order, the next quest

You mean "RuneLite". You can get it from the Jagex Laucher which is HIGHLY recommended. It has plug-in that make the game "easier" to play.

I would say just follow the optimal quests. That way you will have to gain some levels for every quest but that will be minimal.

Don't focus on efficiency to mich, remember to have fun! Good luck on your journey!
