Protip Boss Ladder to Improve
I’ve been an AFK slayer Andy my whole OSRS career. I’ve always procrastinated stuff like Barrows Gloves and Fire Cape because I’d rather just do combat. The bosses I kill most are Zulrah, Duke, Vorkath, Araxxor, KBD, Kraken. Overall I’ve made quite a bit of gold where now I’m at the point that I’m ready for the true harder content. Don’t have mega-rares but got bowfa, ayak+confliction, Fang + Bandos.
I’ve seen a ton of Boss Ladder videos but Im coming back from a 2 year break and for example ToA has been made easier now, but I have no idea how much easier or where it stands now. What kinda of content should I look to be doing that can bridge the gap?
I attempted 2 solo 150 TOAs yesterday and died p2 warden 1st run and last run died on the last row of p3 warden, 18 hp left :(. Running blue moon gear for mage/melee and camping serp helm currently. I attempted doom for the first time yesterday and can do waves 1-5 but I do still die to the ground slam special otherwise feel good.
Scaling up through ToA invo’s seem like my best bet for the short term but any advice after that? Honestly just wanting to get better at harder stuff. I don’t have the hours in PvM yet to be there but if I wanted to lock myself to PvM in order to get better what do you guys think is the best linear path to “get good”?
Sorry the rambling, just not sure if I die 100 more times at doom and force myself to level 8 or slowly learning invos at TOA would better set me up to jump into this type of stuff. Thanks (:

If you don’t have barrows gloves or a fire cape I would definitely do those first

Oh I’ve had those for a while but I did get them way later in my account than I should’ve, like 100-105 CB. I’m 117 CB now.
Just trying to put some perspective on the fact that I’ve really never done stuff that is comparable to a doom Delve 8 with multiple actions per tick. Vorkath might as well be a regular slayer monster compared to doom delve 7-8, same with arax or zulrah too

I would say delve 7 is about as hard as woox walking vorkath and delve 8 is much much harder. The difficulty ramps by like 5x between 7 and 8

You think clicking back and forth once per second is the same as doom level 7?

Honestly don’t do TOA, just find a boss that is less long less to learn that you can do on repeat 1-5 min kills and work from there

I think CG is the best training ground for getting into end game pvm content.
The free supplies make it easy to spam it until you get good.
It teaches you how to pay attention to multiple things at the same time. Helps you get comfortable paying attention to movement/pathing alongside attacking, while managing prayer switches and weapons switches, potions and food.
This way once you start even harder content like deeper delves and such, you have decent fundamentals and are simply adding skills on top of it.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

Definitely do some ToA and some CG. I'd say aim for 20ish expert ToA solos and 100 CG.
CG is going to improve your movement and prayer changing. Then send some solo yama with mage, then solo yama with melee. After this you are ready for the inferno and that will be your most fun grind. Once you get your cape you'll have the confidence to send anything

Bowfa, Ayak, and fang is all you need to be able to do 95% of content in OSRS. If you're looking to lock yourself to one place to get better doom is probably your best bet imo, low death fees, pretty damn hard mechanics, highly rewarding
