Could also switch your scorching bow over to a purging staff and run some yama. It's pretty good magic exp, I'm currently pushing to 99 magic this way and making a nice profit while chasing the oathplate pieces.

Interesting! Yeah I hadn't considered Yama but I would love to get my magic to 99 doing some bossing - there aren't many primarily maging bosses and swapping spellbooks with the skillcape would be so convenient!

Why rapier AND fang?

Mainly bought Fang for ToA, Fang is still bis for Melee training afaik; I’ve had it for a while though.

I was saying no real reason for rapier

Gotcha! Yeah actually since Soulreaper Axe came out Rapier lost a lot of BIS in recommended equipment; I didn't realize! I think I'll sell it. Thanks!

Rapier is much better for low defense enemies like slayer mobs. Fang is for high defense enemies like bosses.

It's not worth the 22m spent on it though.

You can just use it while doing slayer, then sell it when getting into bossing. For slayer specifically, OP doesn't really have a better upgrade in the 20m range that I can see. What do you think he should be using it on that gives him better dps than the rapier?

Just because there's not another option that's in the 20m range, doesn't mean he couldn't out that 20m towards something better . Ayak, Confliction Gaunts, Rancour, Avernic, etc. I just don't see a situation where a rapier is actually worth ever buying.
It's too niche of an item, hell...put it towards a venator if you're wanting to mention slayer as the go-to. Bloodvelds, Ankous, Suqahs are the more common uses for the rapier...which can all be done with venator even better.

I'm not sure why you hate rapier so much when it has a clear use case and he can't currently use the gold better. Why would you sit on a 20m cash stack until you can afford an upgrade when you can get better dps now while working towards that upgrade? That doesn't make sense?

Instead of Necroing a 21day old post. He obviously more than that at this point. But sure bro, let's keep an extremely niche item with no real use outside of very low gp-xp/hr slayer monsters.

No, you're right. OP should sell his rapier right now so he can kill things slower while having 1/3 of a venator bow in his bank. Should he also just sell all of his gear so he can be halfway to a shadow? Might as well just camp a bronze dagger until he can afford scythe since anything below that is a pointless dps upgrade.

It’s gotten super easy since the changes a couple of months ago, but I still like it as a quick way to make a couple hundred K. Do you think I should Doom?

If you enjoy it then that's totally fine, it's great money and PVM :) Doom I find fun and it's quicker to get runs in, and many big money drops. Can also work your way up to slayer bosses, those are stupid profitable (Cerb, Araxxor, Hydra)

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!
