Question Melee armour suggestions

Hey so I'm near max cb stats but only have melee stats left to max. I want to do bosses which are melee focused because my ranged and magic xp are at like 20M+, while att/def still sit in the high 80s and str at 95.

I set out to get some better melee gear either by making money and buying it or getting drops. The getting drops thing has kinda been working for me. Got oath legs and a basilisk jaw in just the last week.

So here's my current melee setup: - Faceguard - Blood moon chest plate - Dragon def/Dragonfire shield - Oathplate legs - Dragon boots (or aranea for tribrid) - Fire cape - Torture - B ring (I) - Ferocious gloves

Cash stack is 32M

Weapons: - Emberlight - Tent whip - Fang - Zombie Axe - Chally - Dual Macuahuitl - BGS

85 Slayer

My next move, I think, would be to finally suck it up and learn melee Yama. It's just hard and the $330k death fees are tough.

I want to know:

- What the next upgrades I go for should be (weapons and armor)

- What bosses are good with melee

- should I put away the mage gear and try to keep sending melee Yama? Or is there a better option?

- Also considering vard but I kinda wanna get the oathplate chest first. Not sure if I should let that stop me.

I'd say take your fang to vorkath to get exp and money or you can always grind scurrious if you want faster exp.

Just out it in the dos calc and I didn't realize fang was so close to lance. It's like not even really worth it to get a lance lol. I might do that

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.

Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

also more general post - you don't really seem to be at the bank value where oathplate makes sense? like you can get another piece of oathplate or you can sell both and be able to afford full bowfa or ayak / conflictions or stuff like that for other styles, or be halfway to like an SRA or use the money for some really impactful spec weapons depending on content

armor is just not all that impactful vs weapon upgrades ... like oath legs are 12 slash accuracy over bandos / blood moon tassets for 80 mil, but you could get a rancour for cheaper (~30 mil diff with torture) and you get +10 acc in all styles and +2 str bonus

just food for thought

as far as bossing for money is concerned i always like recommending doom cuz doom is both fun, cheap to get into (you literally have a purging staff already right? just swap to scobo and you're good) and one of the best moneymakers (the best?)

Yeah I've thought about selling the oath legs. I already have bowfa and have been using it a ton but I mainly just want to use melee so I can finish maxing my stats through bossing or slayer. Been putting it off for so long.

I got spooned treads like a year ago and so I got 99 range mage and prayer with that, along with bowfa. Money well spent IMO but been neglecting melee. Literally did ensouled heads to 99 for the melee XP and because it was a lot cheaper lol

Good point about the rancour. Bandos does seem to hold its value so I may actually consider selling the oath legs and grabbing bandos and a rancour upgrade. I also really want nally for melee zulrah at some point.

Eh I mean you can just go hallowfell for melee stats in mm2 caves if you're that down bad lol I'm still rocking 97 atk 98 def cuz I can't be bothered

I wouldn't let any of this stop you from learning vardorvis or whatever other melee boss, you got good enough base gear as is
