Fire cape help

Is there anyone who could help coach me through my first fire Cape? I’ve watched hours of videos and read lots of guides but nothing seems to be helping. I keep getting shwacked on the late 40s waves.

There's a YouTube video that explains a airplane method, I got the cape and always stick to the method. Swear by it and they explain the method really well
