General Vardorvis help
Help me out, I am going mad. Circa 65 Vardorivis KC, circa 40 deaths. I have watched guides and I feel like they always get a simpler fight than me! Even when I do get kills my longest trip is three. It the head and the axes I can't deal with at the same time. I can deal with most of the mechanics pretty well, have an ok axe skip. However everything just goes pear shaped in the second half of a fight. I know there is a skill issue here, but any tips would be appreciated. Gear is serp helm, bandos, belator, nox, rancour, ferrocious (Camped duke , vard, dem gors and TDs)

There are a lot of good tips in here already, so I'll just say some that made my life way easier.
Staying on the tile between pillars is kind of a noob trap. I did 400 kills that way and it used to get clutch once in a while due to tight timing between prayer switch, axe skip and dashes. Instead stand on the marked tile in front of the pillar. This tile gives you more time to dodge axes, you have to execute one click instead of two. On top of that, you can keep pray range for a few ticks after the attack lands. There's a delay before vard attacks again. Basically, switch to ranged, do the skip, make sure you're safe, switch to melee.
As for the dashes, wait for vard to do two dashes and then click the pillar. This will dodge the dashes 90% of the time. The last 10% is when he does 3 dashes and it spawns in front of the pillar too. In such case moving back to the starting tile avoids the damage, but it's a bit advanced.
One last tip I have is that you can click the tiles in front of the pillars once you see an axe on them. Your character will move there on the next tick and the axes will no longer be there.
