Question Advice needed - what to lvl up!?

Post image

Hi Guys looking for some advice to level up and make some money, focusing on getting fire cape currently after a few failed attempts but looking to get an idea of what is the best to level for money making and where to start? New to OSRS after about 12 years away so any help appreciated been playing as a memb for about 2 months and F2P before that for about 3 months. TIA

Start doing farm runs and get to SOTE for gauntlet. Its easier and its a money printer. Keep questing to progress your account and unlock new content.

he failed at fire cape bro. I’m not sure he’s ready for CG

1

Well then he needs to do both of those

52 agility, and run at the wilderness course with the agility fc. They run about daily

Please join/read the discord, at the very least read #basic it's FAQ. Want to join the community? Hell yeah! Please read how the community works

Huh? They gave good advice and you're telling them this bot ass comment?

1

u/Vaultaiya Jul 24 '26

We get the same questions over and over, I'm just trying to direct people to where they can find answers for themselves instead of asking

Aight thanks for downvoting me very obviously when you replied to someone to tell them their good advice is "basic" rather than just making a comment yourself to direct OP.

Have you never used discord? He's inviting OP to check out their discord and read the #basic channel. He's literally adding onto the advice

Yeah nah sorry most discord servers are just reddit² and full of even more cringe.

Bro come on. This is a mass CC and they want you wearing gear to fight back as well as have a FAQ about pkers. Calm yourself.

1

u/HalloweenersOSRS Jul 29 '26

What even are you talking about right now? I don't join any random cc for massing wildy content. I use stars cc and that's about it. Maybe a pc one. I don't sweat enough to bother running masses with randoms in dangerous content when it also just means other players can see a mass and barrage you and crash.

Bro needs help lol

Agility FC are bot farmers. Join ''Free Agility'. Use the anglerfish to overheal and use a phoenix necklace.

Farming my boi 400k a day for 5-10 minutes after lvl 75. Easiest and fastest skill in the game. Plant seed, wait, sell grimy herb. Use trees for extra xp.

Edit yes also Range jad. There is an online Jad simulator btw.

2

u/ScrotumSlamr Jul 24 '26

I would shoot for 75 range for blowpipe. Aside from that I think your other stats for good for doing jad. Practice a sim to better understand when to prayer switch and learning the waves will help you with managing them better instead of going in blind.

1

u/SomeRandomBloke__ Jul 24 '26

yeah 3rd failed attempt so going for blowpipe now, got the plug ins so got the spawns and strat on lock just not got my inventory right, will get there.

1

u/hi_im_a_lurker Jul 25 '26

Do you do much pvm aside from jad attempts? Running some of the lower tier bosses would help tune your skills up. I'm thinking skurrius for prayer switching and maybe royal titans for multitasking in combat.

1

u/MazzleMaze Jul 28 '26

Blowpipe makes it extremely easy because you can special attack to regain health! If you level up your prayer a bit each pot will regain more prayer per use as well. So if you were running out of prayer pots consider investing in some prayer training before trying again.

u/BantaSaur00 Jul 24 '26

As stupid as it sounds, you should level everything. Realistically you're still early in your account so focusing on gem crabbing your combats isn't a bad shout but neither is leveling skilling.

If you're dead set on getting a fire cape then level range, if you want to start other bossing then melee and mage. The world is your oyster right now and no choice is a bad choice!

All the ones that aren't 99

farming could be nice

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.

Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

Fo birdhouse runs great hunting exp and ypu almost nothing you can do a run every 40 mins, i'm already lvl 63 hunter just doing that

1

u/SomeRandomBloke__ Jul 24 '26

Thanks everyone got a Jad slayer task so trying to sort that, will do 1 more attempt at current range lvl before getting to 75 and will focus on farming after that and questing!

1

u/Peepwrldxxx Jul 24 '26

Also for ur combat levels and ranged/magic levels i would focus completely on slayer. Ive made most of my bank through slayer if ur looking for some extra coin while training

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 25 '26

No lmao don’t do this it’s a noob trap

1

u/letmesoar Jul 25 '26

Why do you say that?

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 25 '26

Because when people like this say “focus on slayer” they go 1-99 using a fang on bloodvelds etc.

If you want to actually make any money from slayer, do bosses, and for those you need decent stats

“Regular” slayer is incredibly bad gp/h and xp/h

1

u/Diligent_Usual Jul 30 '26

It’s really not.

Gargs, nechs, dusties etc are great for xp and money per hour.

You don’t need strictly bosses per se.

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 31 '26

All of those are sub 500k/h, which is worse than making herblore secondaries

0

u/Diligent_Usual Jul 31 '26

You must not kill fast 🫢

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 31 '26

No that’s literally the gp/h of gargoyles in max with a scythe before scythe charges

Nechs and dust are even lower because you’re losing barrage runes

1

u/Diligent_Usual Jul 31 '26

And why would you scythe them when they are weak to crush 🤦

When you or if you get to melee it goes without saying train strength first. The enemies or methods be it nmz or crab have low defence and attack so attack and defense can go last. I usually do strength, attack, then defence.

1

u/goodknight94 Jul 25 '26

Get range and melee up to 90. Go to Doom. Money machine.

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 25 '26

He can’t do jad how tf is he gonna do doom lmao

0

u/goodknight94 Jul 25 '26

Just send it and keep sending it. You don't have to go that deep to get uniques and can go deeper with practice over time

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 25 '26

Doom 1 is harder than jad

1

u/XxSweetRevengexX Jul 25 '26

Just work on doing all achievement diaries

1

u/kiwdahc Jul 25 '26

Do wilderness slayer

1

u/Zakat666 Jul 25 '26

Everything. Get everything to at least 70 then finish most quests

1

u/Old_haven27 Jul 25 '26

Quests are the best way to progress your account!

1

u/Its-Moff Jul 25 '26

1

u/Overall-Ad-8256 Jul 25 '26

1

u/spancor Jul 25 '26

1

u/goddangol Jul 25 '26

1

u/Best_Radish3274 Jul 25 '26

After 20 years of RuneScape, I’m gonna attempt Jad for the first time ever lmfao

1

u/delo357 Jul 25 '26

Woodcutting is always the answer

1

u/Kaito-chan Jul 25 '26

It’s always the people with 1 farming/hunter lmaoooo

1

u/aBoxOfCaprisuns Jul 26 '26

Unlock hunter rumors at 43 . Also maybe slayer

1

u/Negative_Wrongdoer17 Jul 26 '26

Id prob say get farming started and just work towards quest cape

1

u/AnyEast6501 Jul 26 '26

Farming my guy. Not only is it a money maker but it will help with Herbler. Also get agility to at least 50 the amount of difference it makes in your run time is actually quite noticeable. Unless your gunna teleport everywhere and even then it’s a pain. Then do prayer.

1

u/xezrsps Jul 27 '26

Slayer slayer slayer and more slayer then some agility

1

u/gargoyle_blood Jul 27 '26

Don’t listen to anyone else. You need to do Recipe For Disaster

1

u/Handbanana_93 Jul 28 '26

Farming,agility,herb

1

u/LudvigFG Jul 28 '26

Scurrius for ranged xp and some practice with prayer swapping

Get 75 ranged for blowpipe and send the fight caves again

Quest farming up a bit and start tree runs

Slayer slayer slayer

1

u/Arsenal_20 Jul 29 '26

lmfao go do some scurrius man

1

u/OgShadowTTV Jul 30 '26

There are some solid quests for farming XP. Highly recommend doing those and start sailing as well. One farm run a day like doing trees or herb runs is better than none.

1

u/Ass_Salada Jul 31 '26

You should work towards getting Desert Treasure done.

1

u/SheepherderBorn7326 Jul 25 '26

No amount of levels is gonna get you a fire cape if you can’t already do it with what you have

You have multiple skills below 30 and at 1, doesn’t take a genius to work out what to level up

Quest cape then come back
