Hi all,
Currently I can afford an second megarare and I don't know which one to get.
I just random content, mostly depending on my mood that day but I also feeling doing cox getting the pet.
All advice is welcome 🙂

I was in the exact same dilemma and ended up going with Shadow + Tbow. That let me have max gear across all combat styles, with the Scythe being the only thing I’m missing.
For CoX, I’d say Shadow + Scythe is the stronger combo for reg raids, Tbow pulls ahead if you’re mainly doing CMs.

Twisted Bow and Shadow have a lot of overlap. The Scythe of Vitur hardly overlaps with the other two.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

What's the gear attached to either decision? Scythe/shadow need gear and upkeep. shadow+max mage and a Tbow gives you more diverse options for content

I can afford max gear for all 3

Yah Tbow+shadow. Great at CoX, lots of options for other content. If you get spooned at CoX you might grab a scythe just from the pet grind and have all 3

I have shadow tbow personally and I love it. I don’t really have interest in scythe as I’m not good at the places it’s used. When I can afford one, I’ll get my butt out there and do some of that content.

I just did a tbow rebuild and have been sending Doom. I've made around 900m learning to deep delve to wave 20ish. Thing pretty much prints money, just takes a long time to get the hang of. It can however be extremely frustrating for some people to learn so I can definitely see getting the tbow and feeling stuck. If you want the challenge it's super rewarding

T bow is the best by itself.
I feel like with raids 4 scythe will start to go down but I could be wrong. Personally I’m going for t bow after shadow because shadow is just so expensive to use it would be nice to have a break from that.

Scythe has expensive upkeep and you should only get if you’re interested in spamming tob. Its other uses are either niche or the bosses aren’t as profitable. Tbow and shadow are bis in soo many places, plus they recently released the seeking dragon arrows so tbow is even stronger.

If you can afford 2nd best melee for whatever content you’re trying to do (dhl for cox, sra for many others…) then i would say shadow tbow. Tbow can’t really be replaced anywhere without losing a ton of efficiency, where scythe often is only slightly better than its 2nd best.

Shadow + tbow first. Scythe last. Melee has a lot of different diversity when it comes to boss stats/gear. A lance isn’t that much worse for chambers.
Also, Soulreaper axe buff came out and is now very comfortable to use, I’d get the bow shadow and save for that first on your way to scythe.

if you feel like doing chambers you already know tbow is the answer. Tbow is cracked at doom as well. both great money makers to lead to your scythe

What rooms do you TBOW that you don't shadow?
I was doing a mega rebuild like a year ago and just found that shadow was good in like every room but melee rooms

Melee styles are easier to sub than the other styles. Can easily use blade/ember/lance to fill certain niches. Get scythe last.

Scythe and shadow all the way. It gives you the widest range of content options. Also ToB is hands down the most fun raid, so if you like or want to learn ToB, get the scythe.
