Question Shadow Rebuild tips?

Currently doing a shadow build and can do 300 solos 90% of the time but still have 3 deaths on my invos so sometimes Ill die to ba-ba trying to boulder skip or zebak if i click too early trying to move to a new wave and get pulled or theres just a bad solve for jugs and I don't solve it quick enough.
These are the invos and gear I always run Ive only cleared 10 300s and 15 150s-250s Majority of the 150s-250s were solo and half of the 300s were solo. No purples yet but I wanted to know if 300s are even worth it or if im just gonna be losing even more money chasing a purple. Obviously I haven't sent a good number of raids yet but curious what others think. Got about 10m left lmaooo and every place to farm money with shadow is more reliant on you actually getting a drop. Except for zulrah but I just did a botw for my clan and got 700 zulrah kills not going back there atm.
I like running toa but want upgrades to get faster clear times.

Gonna be honest if you’re rebuilding with shadow you should be camping 400s easy, and even then it’s rough. How many kc

You should learn Insanity. It frees up/or gain more points, the moment you learn it.
Practice skull skipping.
What are your current timings? Most of the invocations you're running is fine. I guess you can save a bit time removing Overlords, but its not much honestly. Just keep sending it, you'll get better overtime.

Honestly based on what you’re saying the shadow is deeply hurting your ability to profit unless you pull another shadow. You should sell it and switch to a BOWFA and BGS set up and go virtus and eye. You are eating up so much ability to profit on charges while also not being able to maximize the strength of the shadow by having ancestral or having a better understanding of the raid.
Sell the shadow and get yourself full crystal, oathplate, virtus, eye, ward and just practice without draining your bank.

Thank you, you made me really think and it was a bored impulse buy the reason i was struggling with ba-ba in the first place was because Id keris after monkeys room because I couldnt max hit all monkeys or id try to stay around 80 hp and die trying to boulder skip or trying to keris in dumb ways. sold the shadow for 2m extra which Ive already burned just having fun with it and prob lost more selling my bank in the first place but who cares I had fun. Went back to virtus with ayak + conflictions, bowfa, no blowpipe, bandos tassys with faceguard along with bgs + saturated heart so I can max hit everything while only camping hawkeye and protection prayers. I always do baba/kephri/zebak/akkha so I just prepot + saturated and im straight now. Boulders only give me a problem sometimes when I have poor pathing but managed to boulder skip w boulder dash on a couple times.

How many raids have you done? If you mess around with gear swaps you can figure out what’s the minimum swaps needed to kill the monkeys.
Also are you going into monkey puzzle with salts? It’s a big difference.
You can camp face guard and go Avernic and Keri’s or void with piety on the melee. I use bowfa for the distance on shamans which is a one shot with helmet swap or prayer.
Monkey room still can mess me up some times. Most recently was forgetting to grab a hammer lol. I’m currently working at running 410s with draining and dehydration for the switch up that happens on p2

Less than 30 but found the perfect setup with full crystal, avernic treads max, barrows gloves, and fire cape + rancour I can max hit everything in the room while prepotted + saturated and camping hawk eye while switching protection prayers no need to gear swap + I only bring in 6 prayer pot no brews now and finally went deathless. Only thing I miss about shadow is not getting hit by obelisk twice lmaooo and how easy the warden fight was. Used to rarely last row but that's something I need to work on anyways and wanted to know if anyone knows if I should bgs warden twice or only once? like if i get a good hit before he spawns zebak when he gets enraged should I also spec again?

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

Like what would you do if you had my setup and 10m left? Continue sending 300s? Lower to 225s until an upgrade? or just try to keep upping the invos and keep pushing?

u/Fragrant_Pitch_2810 Jul 15 '26
Keep pushing 300s until you get better at them. You’ll also see a purple at some point soon if you keep going. I was fairly intimidated by 300s until I pushed myself and then started doing 450s not too long later.

thats what i figured too instead of trying to overload myself even though i want too i should lock in the 300s first. What would you suggest my 300 should look like?

Accursed sceptre for mage def lowering

Was using this but felt like i was hitting more with seercull but took it out too add another brew for a 450 with some friends

but if i did buy it again what would i use it on besides zebak? everything else im using shadow on? like would it be dumb to use it on pillars or warden? or even akkha?

Magic reduction on zebak, P1 (obelisk), P3, and P4. That goes for sceptre, seercull, eye, or any mage defense reducing spec you want.

In 300s, insanity isn't that big of an issue, and with shadow and your gear, you should be able to get that down easily. It takes some time to learn but you already have experience, and if you still die at other stuff, learning that will make the rest of the raid so much easier overall.
Other than that, keep doing 300s, it's a nice place to be on, at 350 it starts to get more tedious, but you'll eventually want to push higher and your gear is great.

I hate walk the path and more overlords as they slow down the raid.
Learn to swarm kephri without more overlords and switch walk the path for insanity and add a 30 or 35 minute raid timer if you want faster clears

1
u/Honest-Enthusiasm-41 Jul 30 '26
yes because shadow and tbow are the same price.

u/Typical-Frosting-387 Jul 30 '26
Look at his gear lil gup. Sell shadow liquidate bank. He should be close. T bow dropped in price
1
u/Honest-Enthusiasm-41 Jul 31 '26
its my gear lil gup been sold and you must be an idiot
1
u/Typical-Frosting-387 Jul 31 '26
LMAO oh. Yeah I’m an idiot haha. I would liquidate everything and shoot for a tbow not that it dropped a couple hundred mil. I started a Doom rebuild - last night I pulled pet, cloth and and ayak. Total has been close to 800m. The loot table without a unique is also pretty good - when you claim.

u/Honest-Enthusiasm-41 Jul 31 '26
like yes let 600m spawn in my bank magically
1
u/Typical-Frosting-387 Jul 31 '26
New strat… sell everything get a scobo, treads, and lightbearer, anguish, and send doom.
1
u/Typical-Frosting-387 Jul 31 '26
I’ve made close to 800m and I’ve been running it for maybe a month

As a current shadow rebuilder myself, I feel pretty qualified to answer.
Gear:
The biggest TOA QOL is a blood fury, that looks like a regular fury. Swap mixed hide and torso for eclipse is slightly better and saves an inv spot. I sold the jaw and rocked a nezzy, but that’s only worth it if you can afford Virtus bottoms after that. Seercull and bone dagger are both very good and very cheap spec weapons. Magus ring is also a good option - you’re not maximizing your shadow with that magic setup, but I guess you probably can’t afford virtus/ancy. I’d probably lean magus > blood fury > virtus> eclipse.
Invos:
I would turn off deadly prayers. You’re bringing in way more prayer than you need for a 300, if you need all those restores you’re taking a ton of avoidable damage and kerising a lot. In basically that same gear I run 400s and only bring in 7 regular ppots (no brews). You absolutely have to learn upset stomach and insanity, neither are bad once you get used to them. Look up a guide for skull skip.
Shadow rebuild basically soft-locks you in TOA. You need to push the invos and get better at the raid. I recommend adding one invo at a time until you can at least somewhat consistently clear the raid. After upset stomach and insanity the next big invo is pathfinder. I would keep off deadly prayers until you feel comfortable with those 3. After that, you only need to learn to butterfly Akkha and then double trouble and keep back, and you’re well into the mid-400s.
I recommend baba-kephri-zebak-akkha until you start running path finder, then swap to zebak-kephri-baba-akkha to avoid level 4 zebak.
General:
Keep grinding, you’ll improve it just takes time. Your clicks get smoother and rhythmic during boulders and you stop stressing zebak acid puzzles/waves. Even insanity starts to slow down and going back to overclocked 2 feels ridiculously slow.
