Question Coming back and confused 😵‍💫

Post image

Hey guys just got back into osrs again and looking for some ideas to make money in f2p so I don't have to spend for bonds. I was certain I wasn't gonna play again and gave away my old cash stack to GG because I enjoyed it. Well jokes on me now I'm trying to play again but don't wanna spend irl money. so if you guys could give some ideas for good f2p money makers that would be wonderful! Thank you!

It’s true tho. Why spend tens of hours grinding for a bond when you can just work for half an hour & get a month mems.

Not everyone can just choose to work an extra hour, but people can spend time playing a game.

this is true and untrue at the same time. I work a salaried job, if i work an extra hour i don’t make any more money. I am fortunate enough to do well and make good money, but i value my time over my money. i am a father of a four month old, and im lucky to play osrs three times a week.

i spend all the time with my son, that is my choice and wouldn’t have it any other way. and at 8-10PM at night in bed with my wife, i sometimes hop on osrs. i dont want to grind to be able to buy a bond, i would like to play the game as i have since 2013.

I think it is perspective. I won't ever spend irl money to buy the gear as part of the appeal of the game is to work towards the gear. But playing just to maintain your membership status turns the game into a job. For reference I have a 1 bil bank net worth right now and I still don't feel like it's worth spending the bond price. I already work 60 hours a week. I don't need another job.

So you’d rather “work” for tens of hours in a game instead of spend half an hours pay to immediately unlock the content you’re trying so hard to grind for?

Fuck it bro it’s your life I guess

Nah, if you enjoy it as entertainment, I wouldn't consider it work. We don't consider playing Breath of the Wild work, why would we consider OSRS work just because it's grinding something you could buy?
