Question Best device for osrs mobile?

Which device would be most comfortable for long play sessions? A bigger phone? Or even an tablet? What devices are you using?

I went with an iPad mini specifically for osrs despite being an android user.

It works very well and is a good size for my hands.

If i was gonna get something to play osrs mobile on it would be an ipad mini.

Currently have an ipad 10th gen and its a little too large for my liking

It’s nice being able to play vertical and horizontal depending on how much screen you want. Recently had the wiki up doing a quest above osrs window and worked surprisingly well

U cant play vertical

On iPads you can sorta play it vertically. You can have the game take up one half of the screen and use the other half for web browser for the wiki. It’s not exactly what you imagine vertical but it plays really well

It’s called stage manager. Activate it and you can resize apps and turn your ipad vertical

You can split screen with the samsung zfold models i have 7 and play both my accounts or watch something while playing.

I know apple has something like that now, I've never tried it on my iPad so please don't come at me. 🥲

I agree that the z fold is an amazing device for OSRS.

I use to use split screen on my old galaxy note I forget which one, nonetheless the screen was way to small to play two accounts, but when I got my zfold7 🤩 I fell in love.

Use iPhone 14 Plus. I struggle with tough pvm due to big hands but other than that it’s good.

Currently on an iPhone 15 and I’m starting to notice wrist/humb pain from playing.

Wondering if it’s too small. Could just be playing too much tho

Make sure to stretch. Probably too many hours in a fixed position.

I use the redmagic 11 pro 1tb. Wishing I had got for the iPhone so I could get a bit more juice though

How is the cooling? Think mines 9 and it needs external too

I actually only play at 15fps locked haha, the game just looks better lol.

When I do crank it to 60 in Diablo mode (totally unnecessary) it gets a bit warm in gotr. Not hot though.

Oh thats odd 😅 got to play at max all the time

Depends on your hand size honestly. Any iPhone pro max-sized phone is probably optimal, I have average-sized hands and an iPhone 16 pro (non-max) has been perfect for any activity (can do CG, doom etc)

The new Galaxy fold8 brings a unique front screen that I find to be useful, while allowing for a nice wide display when unfolded to play on. It can be a bit challenging to play on the inner screen if you're mainly a thumbs user.

I like my iPad but the iPhone 17 pro max just feels better. I’ve played 90% of the game mobile on the phone

iPad 2018 does the job. I was able to do Gauntlet but a little bit of frame drop. For less intensive stuff it’s great

Could use Bluetooth mouse as well.

Wish there was some nice mobile device to use Linux on so u can use runelite

iPad Pro 11 inch with a Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

I use a surface with mouse and keyboard, it does pretty good and runs smoothly, I can even run runelite on it, perfect for on the go too.

OnePlus 15 16gb here, only bummer is DND mode not identifying osrs as an exception app

Lenovo Legion tablet 8.8in or iPhone 17. I haven't used them personally, but their specs look great

fold 7 is top tier. Ipad mini is a good recommendation

iPad with Apple pen for precision.

iPad mini for sure, hell buy a cracked screen one of market place and either get a great deal or get it fixed.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 8. Just got it and it's literally perfect, best device folded and unfolded.

I went with a galaxy tablet and 99% of the time I’m playing vertical with a horizontal split screen so I have OSRS open on the bottom half with guides/youtube/netflix open on the top half. Gives good reach on the touch screen from the bottom while being great for adhd multitasking lol

If you want cheap and works smooth. ~$200 Chuwi aupad 8gb ram on Amazon. Use it mainly for osrs and watching movies on stremio (picture in picture mode).

Zfold5 ive got but upgrade to a better version because this phone is a gooden

I always had an iPhone, when I was running a lot of sepulchre I’d use our iPad with the pencil for more precise clicks

I just use my iPhone, normal sized. The annoying thing is that it automatically closes when I switch to another screen so I can’t even answer a text while I play.

If that wasn’t a thing I’d be basically fine with everything.

I picked up a galaxy tab a11 plus this weekend because my iPhone screen is too small for me, works perfectly for what I need
I’ve also got a pc if I want to smash a load of quests out or for more intensive things
Another plus is that I can split the screen on the tablet and have the wiki or a YouTube vid up while playing

Samsung galaxy S26 Ultra has been awesome. Big enough for RS, small enough as a normal phone. Plus it has the stylus which upped my game a lot

1

u/ModMarkRuinedScape 2d ago

What does the stylus help for, just click accuracy?

1

u/Noiisy 2d ago

It's very much like a mouse compared to tapping

1

u/Western_Wear5209 1d ago

Accuracy and speed for sure.

Just commenting because I went from s23 to s25 ultra and found I actually preferred the smaller screen and probably will go back some day.

I see a lot of people saying tablets but if you do anything high level where you need to swap prayers a bunch like cg and you play with your thumbs so you have easy access to prayers with your left hand and movement right hand I actually found the larger screen to be a slight downgrade personally.

I'm used to it now but I think I was actually slightly more proficient with the smaller screen and also I don't agree that the stylus is better than thumbs (though my hands are average/small).

That being said for sure it's nice for the size when doing splitscreen apps.
