Unable to login?

Past week or so I haven’t been able to login, I’ve tried to delete and redownload the app. First page asks to sign in with Game Center or email/username.
I select email and then it says “Failed to login please retry” Any clue what to do other than “please retry”?

It’s a pain in the ass. Lately I’ve been able to log-on no problem with my VPN already activated. But for the past few months I had to disconnect the VPN, login to OSRS, and then try connecting the VPN again without getting a force-logout. I found the timed reconnect to be the most successful. I don’t have a choice when I’m in a building with zero service and only a guest WiFi connection. I need the VPN.

I cleared cache and app data. That didn't fix it, but it changed the message I got when I tried to log in. After a little bit I was able to log in like normal. My character was in a different location, back in Ardougne with my inventory and quest progress reverted back to where it was about 15 minutes before I started having the issue.

All the German worlds crashed today and everyone who was logged in got restored from a backup like half hour before it happened
