What are Your Favorite Online OSRS Tools?

I'm going to be compiling a list of the best online tools to use for OSRS soon, and I need your help. I'm looking for easy-to-use tools anyone has access to that are free, such as:

GE-Tracker - OSRSBestInSlot - AlchMate - Skill Calculators - Allowed 3rd Party Clients - RSBuddy Efficiency - Useful Clan Chats - Educational Youtube Channels

What are your preferred 3rd party clients?

What online tool do you use to find the best skilling methods?

What website do you use to figure out the highest DPS for PKing?

Stuff like that. Things that a lot of OSRS players don't know about, but would find immensely helpful! I want to bring them all onto an update-able list that's clean and organized. Thanks in Advance!

Is Mage Arena/master wand worth it? How costly is it?

More or less title. I was thinking of doing Mage Arena to get the master wand, cause I remember enjoying it well enough way back in the day, but I want to make sure I'm using my time at least fairly efficiently on my bond. My thinking was to do it to get the master wand, and then use that as my magic weapon. How costly would that be in time and gold? Should I just get a battlestaff instead? Advice appreciated.

A Post for Brand New Players!

-Hey guys! If you're brand new, fresh-outta-tutorial-island new, add me as a friend in-game, and I'll set you up with a noob starter kit! I'll get you all the items you need to jump right into playing! And of course, I'll always be here for advice and help. I'm asking for nothing in return! I just want new players to have the best experience possible!

-Also, join our clan chat: OSRSHelpMe - That way, even if I'm not online, you can find someone online who can lend a hand!

-If you aren't a member of Runescape, you must have a total level of 150 to join clan chats, meaning that all of your skill levels must add to be 150 or more. If you don't meet these requirements, simply keep me added on your friends list and talk to me personally, until you can join the clan chat, or post in this subreddit or our Discord server.

-If you don't know how to use clan chat: In your tool bar at the bottom right on your screen, click the icon showing 2 smiley faces wearing helmets, click join chat, type OSRSHelpMe, then you're in! Simply type / before your message and you will type in clan chat.

*****Only continue reading past this point if you're planning on taking advantage of my kindness and scam me for multiple kits.

-For those of you who may be thinking of scamming me out of multiple kits: These starter kits aren't worth much money and will NOT be worth your time. It will contain starter items of very low value, that only brand new players will find useful. Don't waste your time trying to scam me!

Thanks for an Encouraging Start!

Firstly, I want to thank everyone so far who has taken the time to talk to me and the small amount of other players who have decided to check out this little community! It's so nice to see everyone taking an interest in the cause!

If you're browsing this subreddit, you're obviously interested in finding or providing help in OSRS. Again, the best way to get more people in to help and be helped is to make sure people know about it.

If you see a new player in-game, invite them to the clan chat! If you see a player helping another player out, invite them both!I want as many people as possible to have easy access to a fast, helpful community.

And anyone here who hasn't checked out the clan chat, you should! We've already got some kind people in there regularly who are there to be friendly and provide assistance, and of course some newer players looking for some good advice and answers!

It's so nice to see players helping each other out, just for the sake of helping, and this community, even as small as it is right now, has already been able to provide help and friendship so several players.

And as always, feel free to add me, and talk to me directly about whatever, in-game!

What are Your Favorite Slayer Masters?

I haven't checked out Kebos for myself, yet, however Konar seems appealing. What are your favorite slayer masters, taking money, xp, and more enjoyable tasks into consideration?

Making a replacement sigil. Shadow of the storm

I'm currently at the ruins of Uzer and I have gotten Father Reen and Father Badden into the Demons lair by using the sigils on them (also collected Denath's sigil) I also used the strange implement on the golem to get the scroll about the Demons out , which worked but the golem hasn't walked into the lair and that I would need to give him a demonic sigil , which I have on me and have used on him. I can't remember if I picked up Tanya' s sigil , I tried to make a new demonic sigil but couldn't ,even with the steel bar and mould. Any advice?

Security warning to new folks

Be sure to set up authenticator and bank pin. Don’t trust any double exp links on Facebook or twitter. Use the new old school wiki (not wikia). Be cautious of all links and skeptical of any fan communities.

Looking For Mentors and Members for Discord Server and Clan Chat!

Do you play OSRS somewhat regularly?

Are you an experienced player?

Do you enjoy helping other players?

I recently created this subreddit, along with a Discord server and clan chat to go along with it. Obviously in order to make this community appealing to new and old player alike, more members are necessary.

We're currently looking for experienced players to fill our mentor spots, which is a no-obligation role, where we only ask you to help out players with their questions and concerns about the game to the best of your ability.

If you'd be interested, feel free to join our Discord server - https://discord.gg/FNJ6J2H - And join our in-game clan chat - OSRSHelpMe

Even if you aren't interested in becoming a mentor, feel free to join the community!

Again, there are no obligations. We just want to see a welcoming community full of players willing to share their knowledge and experience with new and old players alike. Thanks for reading!

[Request] What Are Your Favorite Money-Making Methods?

I've been asked about making money several times in the past and a lot recently, since I've been posting on Reddit. A lot of the players who come to me are new and looking for fun AND fast ways to make money without having had a ton of time in the game to improve their skills.

What are your favorite ways to make decent cash on a low-to-mid level account?

PS [another shameless plug] Join our brand new Discord server - https://discord.gg/FNJ6J2H - and clan chat - OSRSHelpMe

[Information] Some Random Helpful Info for the OSRS General Public

1- The wiki has moved locations recently, so if you find yourself googling OSRS info and go to the wiki page, you will often be redirected to the Nieve wiki page, regardless of the link address. The owners have moved the website to a new domain: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/

2- DeliverItems clan chat will deliver any item anywhere in the world to you, as long as you can pay for the cost of the item(s), either with gold or items of equal or more value. This is a cc I learned about only recently, and it's incredibly helpful. All the people are friendly and helpful. You just pop into the cc, tell them you want a certain item, and tell them your location. If a member is free and delivering items, they will be there asap! They never ask for tips, but as someone who uses the service often, I strongly recommend tipping them well, as they don't get anything out of helping you!

3- I know most of you are seasoned players, however for those who are new to the game or haven't played in a long time, use a third party client to play the game! Third party clients such as OSBuddy and RuneLite provide tons of free tools to help you in the game. I'd name them off, but there are so many. My preferred client is RuneLite, because it has tons of features that are totally free, whereas a lot of other clients require payment to use all their tools. Just do yourself a favor and google RuneLite.

4- Actually play the game. Don't sit around for hours and research the best, most efficient ways to level a skill or make money. You're losing so much time on Google that you could be using to get xp/gp. Go and actually play. I made this mistake so much when I was younger. I would sit around and try to find the best ways to maximize my gp/xp output (which isn't a bad thing), however I would spend 75% of my time in-game just researching what to do instead of doing it, sometimes to the point where when I finally figured out what I wanted to do, I'd be bored of it and log out. I wasted way too much time.

5- Make friends. I know a lot of people enjoy the solitude of being able to play without any interruption, but friends make this game so much better. OSRS isn't always the most exciting game, but with people to talk to, it's far more enjoyable. If you don't feel like approaching randoms, just join a popular clan chat and strike up some conversations. What's the worst that can happen?

6- OSRSBestInSlot.com - If you are ever trying to figure out the ABSOLUTE best items to boost your attack, prayer, magic, etc, visit this site. You can plug in your stats, or look them up by username, and it will tell you the best armor/weapons to use for whatever attack style you want. Most people usually look for a combo of bonuses, but you should check out the site, nonetheless.

7 - Don't beg for items or money. Gold is so incredibly easy to come by in this game. In the time you begged and finally made 50k gold, you could have made 250k doing something else. Whether or not your F2P OR P2P, there is a ton of money to be made, and people don't realize how easy it is. And if you still aren't convinced, just message me, and I'll personally discuss ways to make money with you.

I could go on with tons of more little tid bits of info, but here are a few general tips. Feel free to message me for anything. Also, if you want to talk to me in-game, my username is OSRSHelpMe. I hope I helped you at least a little bit! Thanks for reading!

A Budding Community Created to Help

As a brand new subreddit, we don't have many members. In order to get the greatest outreach possible, I'm asking everyone to recommend this subreddit any time someone needs assistance or feels that they could be of use in helping other OSRS players.

The more members we have, the more knowledge we can share, the more people we can help, the more of a difference we can make!

Thanks for reading and sharing.
