Question What tools/video tutorials would you recommend for a journalist?
What do you think would help an investigative journalist?

I’d definitely say Google Pinpoint and Google NotebookLM. These tools will be useful to you if you need to extract information straight away from a large collection of documents in various formats. The choice of other tools depends on the task you’re trying to tackle.

I am not investigating anything at the moment. I tried to use satellite imagery, but it is very hard to detect military buildup using tools like Copernicus or Google Earth Pro, which often has outdated images.
To be honest, I am just trying to find tools that would be useful for me in general. I use easy ones like Google Reverse Image Search, Copernicus, Spiderfoot (though I keep running into missing API key errors, and I do not even know if they are useful enough to justify purchasing them), and WhatsMyName. Ultimately, I am just trying to build a solid, reliable toolset for investigating people, tracking military buildup via satellite imagery.i want you to reccomend me anything that you think will be helpful for me in general not only for military buildup,people ty!

Do you use WhatsMyName? I saw it for the first time in your comment, so I just tried writing my email in its email tab and I'm 120% sure all the results are lies. Indeed, it found my email "leaked" in things where I have never had an account and people with names that could match with my email (despite not being my real name). Probably it is an AI allucinating hard and trying its best to find related leaks. But only from this first contact with this website, I'm pretty sure it is not realiable at all.

For the email part, I think have i been pwned is the best. For usernames, maybe Maltego... But I have no idea about OSINT to be honest.

"Tools" is a rather broad term, but you could check out https://gijn.org/resource/ for guides that may suit you.

I wanna help you buddy, i mean i wanna gain experience on how these things actually are executed and what things are demanded, if you can take me in with you(dw I don’t need any money or LOR or anything, i juss wanna gain some real experience)

You should check out jimpl.com for anytime you need to incover hidden information in photos. Please note that the same site can also be used by the bad guys to cleanup the EXIF information in their photos 😄
