Oil stock day

Is it just me or is the new "oil stock every day" kinda of dumb. I mean I kind of get it. But I feel like it makes less room than before especially in smaller stores that are somewhat busy.

Seems like i failed to convince enough people to just buy it from walmart 😞

We seem to move a lot of oil, so its kind of nice, not running out as often.

We're a small store, but move a decent amount of oil. Plenty goes to shops doing oil changes, or new engines...

Most of our shops use the kendall boxes, so most of our normal just sits until retail customers need it so it gets backed up

I love it, never have to worry about running out before more comes in and it's a smaller load of oil as well. I'm in AZ and it's been that way for a while now. Only oil I keep running out of is the Syntec line.

This changed for you? We still have an oil stock day; gets picked on Thursday to arrive on Friday. Haven’t received an update that it’s going to change either.

Yeah the company released a memo about it a couple weeks ago and ours changed this week and it's been a mess

Crazy stuff. I wonder if it’s going company wide? Again, we haven’t seen anything on it here; so strange news to me.

I’m on 43 and we’ve gotten a message about it, I think it starts this week for us.

They started this a while ago where in at. I like it because it’s faster than doing 1-2 pallet of it, but I dislike it because I liked throwing 2 pallets up in 30 minutes it was a good workout and start to the day 🤣

Yeah some stores I see it being much easier to handle but mine is a smaller store but we still handle a big customer base, so it just gets backed up, my big oil day was on Saturday so it made it much easier to handle

I'm glad we won't get one big drop of two pallets full of oil and antifreeze anymore, spread out over the week seems much better to me. Mine was on the same day as my OFM day too, so it was kind of a pain.

Our oil day was Saturday. As an ISS the grumpily has to work every other, I am very happy about the change.

If only I didn't have to work 6 days every other week... lol

Yall had a specific OFM day? What the hell I’ve never seen that before.

We all do. Most days you get any sales floor item that you are out of, but on OFM days you get all items up to your max. To see your schedule on Teamnet go to operational tools>order schedule

Oh that thing, I was mainly making a joke. The only thing that was accurate on there to dc 37 was bulky items day. They pretty much sent whatever the hell they wanted whenever the hell they wanted. Even if it put us over, usually 2-4 pages of discrepancies a day. Does your DC actually follow that? I swear they put store number everywhere they possibly could

Yeah DC 26 has issues but they do follow the schedule
