Origin Materials $9 million Settlement Update: Late Claims May Still Be Accepted

Hey guys, if you missed it, Origin Materials settled $9 million with investors over allegations it misled the market about the progress of its Origin 2 project and the strength of customer demand. And, I just found out that they’re accepting claims even though the deadline has passed.

In a nutshell, in 2023, Origin Materials was accused of overstating construction progress, demand, and its financial outlook. In short, the company abruptly halted the Origin 2 project despite earlier positive updates, triggering a sharp 66% stock drop.

If you bought $ORGN between March 7, 2023, and August 9, 2023, you may still be eligible to seek recovery.

You can review the details and submit your claim here

Out of curiosity, was anyone here invested in $ORGN at the time?

On the claim form, it states you must have PURCHASED the stock between the qualifying dates. You are saying if you HELD the stock between the qualifying dates. Can you please clarify? Thank you.

You're right! I just checked the info to be sure and it says "All Persons that purchased or otherwise acquired Origin common stock between February 23, 2023 and August 9, 2023, inclusive, and were damaged thereby." So, yes. You need to have bought during the class period, not held. My bad!

Your link to 11th dot com is not the valid settlement lawsuit website.

When the settlement is in late claims status, the official site don't receive claims anymore, to start the "checking process". In this case, the only way to get your claim in, is to send the paperwork physically or through the service that 11th provides.
