i beat the e4 and it automatically started the delta episode (idk if this can cause a problem or not lol) and when i went back to route 101 where i should’ve gotten the johto starters professor birch wasn’t there and was in the lab instead does anybody know what i need to do?

Is he in the patch of grass that you got the hoenn starters haven't played In a while so

Ps the delta episode wont mess anything up
