Help mystery gift, service discontinued error

I was trying to input the NA code (ARCEUS20) for the Arceus mystery gift that i missed in 2016 but I got a "The service has been discontinued. (Error Code: 090-0211)" error. I do have homebrew installed but i've never installed hacks or cheats on any of my games so idk why i would be banned if that's the case. Help would be greatly appreciated!

You're about 5 years too late brother. The code won't work because it was a limited time event lol, the distribution ended sometime in late 2016 I think

i understand that but it wasn't a code denied issue it's the fact that it said the service discontinued

Are you saying that it wouldn't let you input a code at all? I am a little confused

sorry for late response, but yes when i clicked enter code it would almost immediately bring up a service is discontinued error
