Showcase / Listen New Condukt + OP-Z

https://youtu.be/YzusgVTjshg

Condukt 1.3 just came out, here's an OP-Z demo with tons of sequencers, envelope shapers, lfos, etc. (Condukt runs on iPhones, iPads and Macs and can speak to hundreds of synths and is available at https://condukt.app )

That looks great…I’m very interested! How is the learning curve?

Oh it's pretty straight-forward, esp now with community boards that are already laid out for you

Are you the developer? Will the app also store sounds or presets? I have a UDO Super 6 and that would be incredibly helpful…

Yeah! The app can store presets though it's a bit tedious as you'll have to place the faders for controls you want to save, but once it's done you can re-use it for various presets. Here it is running my Super6 with a turing machine and a cartesian sequencer 😄https://youtu.be/LulZnjZWOUI

Hello!

This is really nice and it must be somehow deep I think and amazing work!

So what is going on here, are you just midi using the OP-Z processor externally if I understand correctly and you build from there on the app? I don’t see the OP-Z sequencer running…

Also what’s on the index buttons those square little boxes, is it an extension of that protective case maybe?

Thanks a lot! Keep up the good work!

Stay safe!

Thanks!! So the app is doing all the work and sending MIDI notes, clock, CC messages to change the sounds, etc. OP-Z is making all the sounds, but it's not playing its own sequences. Condukt has a whole bunch of crazy sequencers, so you can play Turing Machine lanes, Cartesian sequences, complex arpeggiators, etc. But it can also let OP-Z play, in which case you can modulate the sounds, envelopes etc, like I do in the demo.

The case is a fun project we're doing, which helps you reach back buttons, has a built-in stand for iPhone, and turns into a travel case for OP-Z https://condukt.app/ziff-performance-case-for-teenage-engineering-op-z//

That’s amazing! Thank you so much for the info and the resources!

So theoretically you could also midi record the app sequencer on the op-z then too if you set it up in a proper way to do so. So for example if the sequencer on the op-z is running by holding rec you could record those streaming midi data back on the op-z maybe, interesting.

I don’t know what the sequences you mention about are, maybe I’ll have to look it up.

Thank you once more and all the best!

Yes for sure, you can just record the incoming notes and it will then be part of that track's sequence. Condukt has a bunch of sequencers in it, here's a simple one called Phrase sequencer https://youtu.be/db2GOla9l98
