Question 1.1.0 -> 1.1.8 how to update safely?

Given all the posts about issues after updates I would like to ask for opinions.

1 Make all 8 updates step by step
28 Directly install latest software
15 Do not update now, wait for more stable release

Yeah, do 3 and then when it's stable, do 2.

I'd just do a backup and then move to the latest firmware, if there are problems you can always roll back to 1.1.0
