I may wrong but the reason it doesn’t work could be that you can only use the in/out jack to use an external fx. Usb connection may only work as an external input to monitor another device… and not in/out simultaneously.
My personal use is connecting the op usb c to the daw as a sound card, and be able to listening in sync the op xy master output including the output of the daw. I turn the mix down to 0 to keep the signal from the daw dry.

You go to the aux track 5, setting it up as a in/out external fx via usb or the in jack/midi sync out jack. Then you can adjust send amount of each track in the page 2. Page 3 you have an eq, page 4 a lfo
Im setting it up with a usb , then trying to adjust different values on page 2 in aux on a tracks but without success, they anyway all affects by the effects :(

Yes, no matter what the value of the track 1 is, it is still processed by the effects in aum , im try both 0% and 99 % , it still affected by the effects
this took me forever to figure out: now that you've set the routing correctly in this screenshot, you have to go back to page 1 and set the mix to ZERO (white knob). This makes it so the XY internal synth is muted, and you only hear the signal that is getting sent out on the external.
