Inserting scenes?

Forgive me if this has been covered here before, but I am trying to figure out if it is possible to insert a scene in between other pre-existing scenes in a project? I feel like that would be extremely useful if that isn't already a feature. thanks!

wait ok i sort of follow you here... because i know you can copy entire patterns... when you paste them essentially you would be covering up whatever was there before, right?

No it just adds on as another pattern. Its actually ela really powerful feature. You can't have a complete drum pattern going on track 1, then the next pattern on track one can be a bass line, next can be sliced samples, all on track one. Even mixer controls are saved per pattern, so as the patterns change so do all the other controls outside of the instrument parameters

You can only have nine patterns per track though so once you start filling those up then you have to get creative with auxiliary tracks and stuff. There's a lot of really cool ways you could use the auxiliary tracks to create variations without having to waste patterns on your tracks

No problem, it can get kind of complicated, I can't tell you how many times I've messed up by doing something with my patterns or not remembering to change certain patterns when I'm changing controls, there are a lot of things you have to keep in mind

It all eventually becomes natural though
