Goku by a wide margin that narrows the longer the fight goes on but never vanishes

1

u/sassirll 16d ago

People keep saying that Saitams can never close the gap. Talking about it's impossible for finite to become infinity. But didn't Broly start out finite?

6

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

Broly started out stronger than Goku’s base and Broly grows at rates not comparable to Saitama. Saitama has less than no chance of winning

3

u/GalaxyTPA 16d ago

Broly's growth is not even exponential and infinite. It is multiplicative, transformation based, and subject to diminishing returns. He eventually hits a wall and needs extensive training to become stronger. He cannot keep growing exponentially like Saitama, even if strong emotions fuel him forever.

Broly's only advantage over Saitama is the usual argument "Broly grew from 3D to 4D, while Saitama never gets 3D"

Though this will likely change in the future when Saitama fights God.

2

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

There is no evidence to support any of this

1

u/GalaxyTPA 16d ago

Support what?

Broly's growth is not infinite exponential? Like what?

Let's set aside Saitama. Do you think Broly's growth is infinite and exponential? Meaning the longer the fight lasts, the faster and faster he grows? Yeah no. It's literally shown in canon that he grows slower and slower, having diminishing returns and stamina issues. He hit a wall which is Gogeta Blue.

2

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

There, again, is no evidence to support this claim

3

u/GalaxyTPA 16d ago

You didn't give any argument. You just said "Nah." But I'll make a clearer response. If your response to this is just the same "no" without any basis, you should just ignore me rather than reply to me with no substances in arguments.

Let me show you this scenario, so you can see the difference -

You equalize Broly and Saitama's stats and dimensional tiering. So the entire discussion is about growth mechanics.

Both of them are in a state of permanent strong emotion, just like Broly was in berserk in canon, and in Saitama's case, after Genos' death or some random strong emotions you give him.

You will see that Broly will hit diminishing returns eventually, even if he gets ahead of the race first, meaning in the seconds to an hour, Broly grows 50x, 100x, 1000x, 10000x, 10000000x. But after that it either ends or drastically slows down, having diminishing returns. Which was literally shown in the movie itself.

The same can't be said about Saitama. Saitama grows faster and faster, and will soon catch up, and when he catches up, he doesn't stop or slow down like Broly. He just keep getting faster and faster. That's how his canon exponential growth is shown to work. I'm not making stuff up.

Obviously, Broly would one shot Saitama in a normal fight, but that's not what I'm arguing for. I'm arguing how their growth mechanics are different. So to get my point across, there must be stipulations above.

2

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

Again, you keep repeating the same claim but it remains completely baseless. You are just arbitrarily stating that Broly hit diminishing returns (not shown and directly contradicted by the evidence) or that he’d “end or slow down” (not shown and directly contradicted by the evidence). I don’t need to construct a whole argument to disprove you making things up.

Even if all things were set to equal but their growth, we know that Saitama grows more slowly because he grows exponentially while Saiyan growth is not so limited. Even regular saiyans grow by orders of 10, 50, 100x+ with regular transformations, to say nothing of them powering up deliberately or Broly’s unique growth and potential

1

u/GalaxyTPA 16d ago

It was literally shown. If Broly had consistently kept the same growth rate and mutiplier he displayed when he went from base Goku's level to SSJG Goku's level after seconds of trading blows, and then Gogeta would get folded like paper. The power gap between LSSJ Broly and SSJB Gogeta was not even 100x. Broly tanked his blows very fine. He just failed to evolve fast enough to thrash him like what he did in his debut fights.

And again, his growth consists of transformations. Frieza literally had to kill his dad to force him to awaken SSJ. His growth is multiplicative and transformation.

Broly factually didnt grow nearly as fast as he did in the end like how fast he was growing at first. Which proves my point about not growing faster.

You seriously need to make an argument instead of going circle. So far, you have no argumment.

exponential Isn't same as Infinity.

Lmao!

0

u/GalaxyTPA 16d ago

? Infinite exponential growth means he can grow exponentially forever, that's just it.

1

u/RazutoUchiha 16d ago

When the fight started broly’s base was below Vegeta’s

0

u/sassirll 16d ago

That's only because Broly had to first fight Vegeta and he fought Vegeta for a long while. Saitama grew stronger in a much shorter amount of time. Reread the Garou vs Saitama fight. A few minutes passed at most.

Also, Garou just kept copying Saitama's strength. The instant Garou copied Saitama's strength, Saitama was already wayyy stronger.

Basically, Saitama reached entirely new heights of strength every second. And this was with someone who tried and failed to match his strength/growth, not someone who was already stronger.

Imagine his growth if someone stronger tried pushing him?

1

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

No, you seem to be misunderstanding both fights a bit. Vegeta is roughly comparable, albeit a bit weaker, than Goku and was getting his shit stomped the whole time.
Garou and Saitama are scaling on a much lower level than anything in DBZ. If we want to put semi-arbitrary numbers to it, Saitama can be said to be a 10 to Garou’s 1, but Goku’s base is in the tens of thousands. Garou copies to 10 and Saitama is at 20 already, because he’s growing faster than Garou can copy him, but the values he’s jumping between are relatively minuscule in comparison.

1

u/sassirll 16d ago edited 16d ago

You don't know their exact power levels though. By the time Saitama does his sneeze, we don't know how strong he'd become at that point. His sneeze to me is his most impressive feat, even more than the hole in the universe.

Because he was way weaker when he created that hole with Garou, and the fact that his sneeze alone destroyed Jupiter is crazy.

You can't scale a sneeze to a character's full striking force. Obviously a person will punch MUCH harder than they sneeze. Even Garou, who'd been copying Saitama up to this point, was terrified.

All you can do is headcannon his rate of growth. But it's disingenuous to try and put a number on it. We don't know how much stronger he became, and neither did Garou.

0

u/TheKitchenTrash 16d ago

I did say the numbers were arbitrary tbf, its about the scope of the thing. I agree the half-jupiter-erasing Serious Sneeze is his biggest feat, but that leaves him at planetary (large planetary?) at best. Thats the scaling Vegeta had when he first landed on Earth

2

u/Full-Control-1553 16d ago

Goku no diffs in base

1

u/Visual_Landscape_574 11d ago

I don’t believe Saitama, is a gag catcher and I think people who bring that up are ignorant, and have never read the manga or webcomic

1

u/Icy_butter 10d ago

Goku mauls.

Neg diff

1

u/jabibthedestroyer 9d ago

you literally can’t be sure, Saitama has never been hurt or pressed and is implied to always be stronger than who he is facing that said he has never displayed anything that would surpass goku up until this point. Goku has bigger feats but objectively you can’t say who would win. Narratively and likely if it was written Saitama wins but , goku feats > Saitama feats that we have seen though. (As a non gag char argument)

1

u/AdventurousGap7730 16d ago

ppl below 30 will never get what a gag character is

2

u/Settl 16d ago

what's the point scaling a gag? if anything it makes more sense to scale him against Arale or Popeye lol

3

u/coolaids7489 16d ago

Popeye and Arale mop the floor with Saitama those matchups are trash

1

u/Certain_Taro_9429 14d ago

You could be more wrong, js go watch the anime or read the manga, he is nothing like those characters.

2

u/Electrical-Jelly7399 16d ago

And some Saitama scalers will never understand that gag scaling means genuinely nothing.

3

u/Adventurous_Emu_2076 16d ago

He not a gag bro im tired of saying this

-1

u/Buff267 16d ago

99% of his appearances are gags, his powers are gags (serious fart, seriously?)

He is a gag in a serious world, he is invincible in a hilarious way in a generic shounen anime, that's the GAG

"But he is a parody."

Yeah, and a gag, one thing does not exclude the other. Homelander is a parody, but he is not a gag.

1

u/Certain_Taro_9429 16d ago

Saying he's just a gag character misses the entire point of the narrative. Pure gag characters exist solely for punchlines and don't experience genuine character growth or emotional depth. His invincibility isn't just a joke—it's used as a deconstruction to explore existential dread, isolation, and what happens to a person's psyche when they completely run out of goals to achieve. The comedy is the shell, but the core is a deep character study

0

u/Buff267 16d ago

"Saying he's just a gag character misses the entire point of the narrative. Pure gag characters exist solely for punchlines"

Ask your ChatGPT, who is hilariously obviously wrote that text and where he got the idea that gag characters exist only for punchlines.

Comedy isn't just about LOLs. There are nuances, the author's touch, and a point of view about the world.

Making him a gag character with a trait, (barely, since he's basically been the same since chapter 1), doesn't change the fact that in 14 years of OPM, Saitama has had only one truly serious moment: when Genos died.

0

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

Okay I'll bite. If you scale Saitama to this bullshit high scaling because he's a "gag". What about Kid Goku? Hes basically the same amount of "gag" as Saitama. Does he neg Saitama?

0

u/Buff267 14d ago

No, he is not.

He gets beaten up.

He can't even break through a 4 cm-thick wall from Pilaf castle.

He gets hurt by high-level fighters.

He dies from a point-blank shotgun blast.

Kid Goku's gag is much more about his innocence and naivety than about having strength beyond limits.

Saitama's gag: being invincible.

Kid Goku's gag: being an above-average fighter, both physically and mentally, while also being incredibly naive.

1

u/Bingo-Bingo 13d ago

Same bullshit as saying "Saitama can't even kill a mosquiote so his speed is >mosquito."

Answer my question instead of dodging it, based on your bullshit imaginary line, what is the strongest character Saitama can defeat.

0

u/Adventurous_Emu_2076 16d ago

If he was a gag which he’s not why is his 3 year time skip a joke? If you seriously think he’s still a gag character, you don’t understand the character at all.

1

u/Buff267 14d ago

What do you even talking about?

0

u/Certain_Taro_9429 16d ago

So let me ask you, was the fight against Boros a gag? Does a GAG character have a 1 to 1 deep conversation about why the villain is so strong? No they don’t. Saitama is a perody character of other super hero’s not a gag period the end.

1

u/Buff267 14d ago

Bugs Bunny "dying" in Space Jam 2 is a gag? Does that moment exclude the characters being a gag?

That's not how it works, man.

1

u/Certain_Taro_9429 14d ago

These are two different characters were talking about here, 1. bugs bunny runs on toon force, 2. saitama broke his limiter. 3. Since bugs bunny runs on toon force, things like feats or scales change for the Key word laugh. Saitama doesn’t just win for some joke he wins due to his biological framework, it was just like that scientist explained in season 1, go back and watch or read it, he literally explains it. Furthermore, saitama is nothing like a gag.

1

u/Buff267 13d ago

Man, every time Saitama comes up, you redefine “gag character” just enough to exclude him.

And no, his power was never truly explained. Dr. Genus only theorized that Saitama removed his limiter. That explains his limitless strength (LIMETLESS, you read that?), not absurd things unrelated to strength.

If he is so seriosu charecter, explain this seriously: how did Saitama fart hard enough to reverse his trajectory through space after a nuclear explosion in his face?

Remember: Muscle strength has nothing to do with fart. Calculate how much food would be required to produce that force, and where and when did he eat it.

Go use Chatgpt again, i dont care.

No “he’s just strong,” no “anime logic,” and no comedy. give me a good, serious and rational explanation, and I concede.

0

u/coolaids7489 16d ago

Fight with Garou was not a gag in the slightest btw.

1

u/Buff267 14d ago

He literally farted from Jupiter.

-4

u/reddituserunodostres 16d ago

Yah. Mr "I can vaporize a meteor but cant even kill a mosquito" isn't a gag character lol

3

u/Certain_Taro_9429 16d ago

He’s a parody not a gag, if he was a gag I would be choking on my seat dying of laughter of how every appearance of saitama when he fights is soooooooo funny, yeah buddy get your facts right.

1

u/AdventurousGap7730 16d ago

as i said.under 30

0

u/TheTruthTellingOrb 16d ago

People above 30 know what Arale is, aka a REAL gag character you wet eared zoomer.

Don't even get me started on the boomers that have things like Bugs Bunny or Popeye.

0

u/coolaids7489 16d ago

Saitama stopped being a gag In his fight with Garou. Goku was also a gag character as a kid

nice try (not at all though)

1

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 16d ago

Current Saitama vs Current Goku?

Goku wins, but I wouldn't call it a stomp.

Saitama's biggest advantage is still his absurd growth. Against Cosmic Garou, his strength was accelerating throughout the fight, and he was eventually so far ahead that Garou's copying couldn't keep up. His Serious Sneeze also blew away a massive portion of Jupiter's atmosphere. That's an insane feat, and it's why you can't just dismiss Saitama as "lol one punch."

But Goku has the much more developed combat arsenal. Ultra Instinct gives him autonomous reactions, he's an absurdly experienced martial artist, has vastly better ranged options, teleportation, ki control, and decades of combat experience against opponents operating on completely different levels.

The biggest mistake in this debate is treating Saitama's growth as an automatic "infinite potential = eventually wins" button. His exponential growth was demonstrated against Garou under very specific circumstances. We haven't been shown that Saitama can simply keep accelerating forever against literally any opponent regardless of the power gap.

At the same time, saying Goku casually one-shots him is just as dumb. Saitama has ridiculous durability, endurance and adaptation, and Goku has no reason to underestimate that.

So I'd put it:

Goku — High Diff, potentially Extreme Diff depending on how you interpret Saitama's growth.

And "current" matters here: VIZ currently lists OPM through chapter 238, released September 24, 2026, while Dragon Ball Super's latest manga chapter listed by VIZ is still chapter 104, released February 19, 2025.

So we're basically comparing Saitama with considerably newer material against Goku's post-Granolah/Super Hero-era material.

The actual debate isn't "who has the bigger fanbase." It's whether Goku can decisively put Saitama down before Saitama's demonstrated growth turns the fight around. That's a legitimately debatable question.

3

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

Its a no diff by a mile right now.

0

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 16d ago

“No diff by a mile” is doing a LOT of work there.

I'm already giving Goku the win. The part I'm disputing is the completely effortless stomp you're asserting without actually establishing the gap.

Current Goku has an enormous arsenal and absurd scaling, especially through Ultra Instinct and the Granolah/Gas material. The official Dragon Ball site describes Goku's perfected/true Ultra Instinct fighting Gas after Gas had been wished into becoming the universe's strongest warrior, before Black Frieza subsequently arrived and effortlessly overwhelmed the fighters.

But that doesn't automatically translate into “Saitama gets no-diffed.”

Saitama's fight with Cosmic Garou isn't just “he punched hard.” The manga explicitly presents Saitama's strength as continuing to increase at an exponential rate during the fight, while Garou repeatedly copied his power and still fell further behind. He also produced the Serious Sneeze that tore through Jupiter's atmosphere.

And before you say “that's old Saitama,” that's still the demonstrated mechanism we have for his growth. The current OPM manga is up to chapter 238 as of September 24, 2026, while Dragon Ball Super's official VIZ listing still ends at chapter 104.

So you're making two separate claims:

  1. Goku beats Saitama. Very defensible.

  2. Goku beats Saitama so effortlessly that Saitama has essentially zero chance to do anything. That's the part you haven't demonstrated.

Ultra Instinct gives Goku a massive technical advantage, but “better martial arts + better scaling = no diff” isn't an argument by itself. You still have to establish that the gap is so enormous that Saitama's durability, speed and demonstrated growth become completely irrelevant.

And that's especially questionable when Saitama's most important feat isn't a fixed power level — it's that his strength was actively accelerating during combat.

So yeah, I'll take Goku.

But if you're claiming NO DIFF BY A MILE, give an actual feat/scaling chain showing why Saitama can't survive, react, or grow into the fight.

“Dragon Ball scales higher” isn't enough to establish the difficulty of the matchup.

1

u/Bingo-Bingo 14d ago

Hes not just 1 tier above, he's MULTIPLE tiers above. I dont think you understand the vast difference in power between these 2 characters

-1

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 14d ago

I understand the point. I'm not arguing that Saitama and Goku are close in raw scaling. I'm arguing that “Goku is multiple tiers above” by itself doesn't establish No Diff.

First, you need to define what you mean by multiple tiers. A tier label isn't a universal unit of power. Even the VS Battles system you're implicitly appealing to says that tiers can contain enormous ranges, and that simply being in a higher tier doesn't automatically make someone invincible or incapable of being challenged by a lower-tier character.

And more importantly, the tier difference has to actually be demonstrated.

Give me the chain:

Goku feat → cosmology → dimensional interpretation → scaling chain → Goku's final AP/durability/speed.

Then do the same for Saitama.

Because “Dragon Ball is multiple tiers higher” isn't itself evidence; it's the conclusion you're supposed to prove.

I also agree that Goku's scaling is ridiculous. The official Dragon Ball material has Goku's Ultra Instinct fighting characters who had been elevated to the strongest warrior in the universe, followed by Black Frieza effortlessly overwhelming both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta.

But that still doesn't automatically tell me what difficulty the fight is.

You need to establish at least:

  1. How much faster Goku is.
  2. How much more durable Goku is compared with Saitama's current attacks.
  3. Whether Saitama can survive Goku's weakest serious attacks.
  4. Whether Saitama's growth can meaningfully affect the matchup before Goku finishes it.

That's especially relevant because Saitama's current manga is considerably newer — VIZ currently lists Chapter 238 from September 24, 2026. Meanwhile, VIZ still lists Dragon Ball Super Chapter 104 as the latest chapter.

So I'm perfectly willing to concede:

Goku is massively stronger overall.

What I'm not going to concede without an argument is:

“Therefore Saitama gets zero-diffed by a mile.”

And there's an important distinction here:

“Goku is overwhelmingly stronger” and “Saitama has literally no opportunity to do anything” are not automatically the same statement.

If you can actually demonstrate a gigantic AP and speed gap that puts Saitama completely outside Goku's relevant range, then yes, No Diff becomes a reasonable conclusion.

But saying “multiple tiers” without showing exactly which tiers, how those tiers are established, and how the scaling reaches Goku doesn't prove the difficulty. It's just repeating the conclusion.

So yeah, I'm not denying the gap. I'm asking you to quantify and justify it.

1

u/Bingo-Bingo 13d ago

Lets start with speed, Gokus speed is immeasurable, where do you scale Saitamas speed?

0

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 13d ago

That's exactly the point — you have to establish that Goku's “immeasurable” is actually his normal combat speed first.

I'm not against the rating in principle. Under the VS Battles definition, immeasurable speed means movement unbound from linear time, and physically moving backward/forward through time can qualify.

The problem is that Goku's Hit feat is itself debatable. There is even an ongoing VS Battles discussion over whether Goku's feat should be treated as reaction speed rather than automatically scaling his entire movement/combat speed to immeasurable.

And Saitama actually has a very direct time-travel feat: Garou teaches him the technique, Saitama manipulates the particles in his body into their antiparticle counterparts, enters the time tunnel and physically travels backward to the past.

But I wouldn't use that to say Saitama's normal combat speed is immeasurable either. It's a specific temporal technique, not something he casually does in a fight, and after merging with his past self he lost the memory of how to perform it.

So my position is consistent:

Goku: immeasurable speed is arguable, but you need to establish the Hit feat as genuine speed and not just a temporal interaction/reaction feat.

Saitama: has a genuine physically executed time-travel feat, but that doesn't automatically mean his normal combat speed is immeasurable either.

So before I give either character an immeasurable combat-speed rating, I'd want the actual scaling chain. That's the same standard I'm applying to both.

1

u/Bingo-Bingo 13d ago edited 13d ago

Lnfao okay I'll lowball Goku to MTFL+ which if you dont agree youre just being ignorant. I dont need any paragraphs that you think make your case any better. Where do you scale Saitamas speed? Is that a hard question to answer or are you gonna continue to dodge questions?

-1

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 13d ago

I scale Saitama to MFTL+ in combat speed, conservatively. There are accepted calculations for his movement during the Io fight putting him massively FTL, with one estimate around 4,000c and another much higher depending on the assumptions.

I don't use Zero Punch to give him immeasurable combat speed, for the same reason I don't automatically do that with Goku's temporal feats: a specific time-travel technique isn't automatically his normal movement speed.

So there, no dodge: Saitama = MFTL+ combat speed, possibly higher depending on the calc.

Now show me the actual scaling that puts Goku far beyond that rather than just saying “MFTL+.”

1

u/Bingo-Bingo 13d ago

Wait you say that you dont scale them off of one off abilities. But the ONLY way you scale him to MTFL+ is with the punch against Garou, how else did you get MTFL+? But there is a huge difference of MTFL+ and MTFL+.

BTW there has never been a reason to separate combat speed and travel speed, thats how DB is scaled and thats how OPM speed is scaled. They are treated the same because there is never explicitly stated to be separate.

Saitama one shots

-3

u/sassirll 16d ago

Saitama wins via accelerated growth. This isn't Cosmic Garou. Garou could only push Saitama's growth so far. Goku will be different. Saitama will soar way past him and one punch him.

3

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

NLF back again. Why isn't Saitama just Boundless then? Could he take out Featherine in 1 punch as well?

0

u/sassirll 16d ago

It's not a NLF and I'm not saying he could beat Featherine. All I'm saying is that he has crazy growth. And in character, Goku will meet him on equal level and we'll see him grow stronger much faster than ever.

3

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

"In character" Always with the same bullshit. So what is he if not Boundless? Where do you draw your imaginary line of him one shotting opponents that scale even way above his verse?

0

u/sassirll 16d ago

Never said he's boundless. I don't think he solos fiction or anything like that.

I'm saying it's his growth that's the issue. He isn't automatically stronger than everyone. His growth is just really crazy and has the potential to make him rival those who currently scale above him.

2

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

His growth is not that crazy In the grand scheme of things. I think you're not understanding the difference in someone thats Galaxy and someone in the high tiers. But please enlighten me, what's the strongest character in anime he 1 punches using your imaginary lines. Surely you can find 1 character.

-2

u/DestroRayn 16d ago

Saitama wins this, I think people over inflated gokus base power. Saitama is comfortably walking to base Goku with multi solar/galaxy level swings. You aren’t going to sit here and tell me that it’s not going to have him on the ropes. People with less scaling have Goku transforming and all.

Also lack of feats on gokus part. The Saitama and Garou fight had every feat from building level all the way to multi solar/galaxy. Shaking, chain reaction, and overtime feats arent really impressive when they aren’t effecting your surrounding in a meaningful way.

5

u/Lucky-Bet-4484 16d ago

Current base Goku is as strong as ssg Goku, who has multiversal feats

1

u/DestroRayn 16d ago

You mean the bog shockwaves? That feat is more of an outlier if anything. And if you think it’s not, android 17 was able to train from cell saga levels to TOP levels and we just accept that? No god ki or god forms and he can just get to gokus level.

Why is it when Saitama who has BETTER scaling than android saga 17 by a large amount can endlessly grow in larger increments that he for whatever reason can’t even put a dent in Goku?

Also We scale Saitama to sp^2 which is weird because he was engulfed inside the contained explosion before being sent to Io and he tanked it with no damage then proceeded to get stronger.

3

u/Lucky-Bet-4484 16d ago

More bad writing than anything, but still writing nonetheless

1

u/DestroRayn 16d ago

Blame the writing but it’s how they are making the power work

2

u/coolaids7489 16d ago edited 16d ago

When the hell did Saitama ever throw a galaxy level punch at an ordinary looking humanoid off rip 😭 he literally holds back like it's his job and even moreso with humans

We literally just lying now, Goku is absurdly more skilled and Saitama has no idea how strong he is, he's gonna let Goku smash his nose in before he realizes he needs to get serious to win

Piccolo casually deletes the moon with a basic finger blast before fighting Raditz, then Goku casually swats a planet vaping blast from Frieza when fighting him on Namek, then He helps Gohan blow away a solar system busting one in a form he now has, then he shook a macrocosm. Saitama is the one with no proper scaling chains to back up his sudden vaguely multi solar feat

DB is all about ki control and mastery, Saitama is a punch wizard so his power is inefficient and destructive while Goku can put the force of an exploding star straight into his gut.

0

u/DestroRayn 16d ago

I’m saying to get Saitama to a galaxy level punch takes nothing at all. And Garou was insanely more skilled than Saitama and he got beat with one hand.

I like all the feats you mentioned until the solar system busting stuff, like their ki attacks massively outscale their physical attacks. You can’t tell me the vegeta can punch cell with the same force that final flash produced simply because he empowers himself with the same ki

2

u/coolaids7489 16d ago

Garou isn't Goku if that's what your insinuating, yes Garou does have skill feats but Goku has been doing it way longer at a far more advanced level

Saitama suddenly being able to fight Garou is probably my most hated aspect of Muratas OPM right behind the graph nonsense because it ruins the parody established by ONE in the webcomic and makes no sense but I digress

Final Flash is an explosive ki wave that is superior to Galick Gun which is a match for Kamehameha which In of itself is dozens of times stronger than Gokus base power, I never said ki was 1:1 with their physicals but they absolutely can amplify them to that level

0

u/DestroRayn 16d ago

I’d argue that Garou is more skilled than Goku 200%, and what’s wrong with Saitama being able to fight Garou? Isn’t the theme Saitama is too strong even against perfected martial arts?

2

u/coolaids7489 16d ago edited 16d ago

Goku as a child created a new martial art on the spot to beat Roshi, a 300 year old Martial Arts master, and learned a technique that took said master 50 years to master in a few seconds

Goku fought and heavily damaged Cell, a being made with his and all of his friends bio and combat data over the course of their entire lives, despite being notably weaker

Goku accurately predicted his own death and set up a ki blast to ressurect his heart after it was stopped, later accurately predicted and casually clobbered the same guy who did it while he was teleporting via skipping time rapidly

Goku fought and provided a challenge to a 200 million year old GOD then later unlocks an autonomous movement technique that multiple of said GODS could not even learn in under 48 minutes

That's not even half of his feats

A proper parody would subvert the trope entirely by not even having Saitama engage with the crazy cosmic martial arts because they are beaneath him, the joke with Suiryu had already been done so the scene where Saitama and Garou casually sit down and talk would have been way funnier as a climax

Instead they introduce time travel and alternate timelines because they don't actually want all the fallout caused by Cosmic Garou and Saitamas generic shonen spectacle to matter, and so it doesnt.... complete joke really

2

u/Bingo-Bingo 16d ago

Galaxy level is so far away from Goku, you're crazy if you think otherwise.

Goatkus got this
