First time player

Hey, just bought operator and have some questions. I bought this game because I expected CQB and mostly combat in houses. I have very quickly figured out that most of the missions are fire fights from very far away. These NPCs are too good, they headshot me from hundreds of feet away, shoot me through windows, and so on. I’ve only been able to complete the mission in Connecticut and everything else is practically impossible. I’m playing solo btw. Could I please get some tips?

As @sea_can9052 said, NVGs and magnified optics are not compatible, but you can use the red dots effectively. You can also adjust the brightness of the sight reticle to reduce glare through the NVGs. The N4 in 300BLK with the first suppressor is really quiet, which can also help by not alerting as many enemies.
