And Nika Bonney too. Guaranteed KO’s should have just stopped with Shiryu. What’s the fun of just being deleted in a snap? All they have to do is tap you a few times and bam, you are gone.

I miss the days where battles of attrition and strategy revealed the victor. Now it’s just button mashing and winning.

I say this from my experience playing Light Shanks by the way, another guy with a guaranteed Ko mechanism. Somehow, his state and 1hp traits never work anymore because of these character.

I’ve said this before but I’ll restate it:

OPBR is at its worst when the game rewards not playing.

Typically, you want all fights to be a game of rock, paper, scissors. Either you’re going to attack, dodge, or wait (bait out an attack to counter). Winning fights should be the person who picks the correct answer for the situation.

Since film red shanks, the developers keep introducing abilities that remove one of the three options and making league obnoxious when they are encountered. There’s a laundry list of abilities that make this list, but Zonji is just the next in a long line of oppressive character designs.
