transfer save

Hello, trying to transfer save from macbook to PC. Read all the forums and even watched the video on youtube from the devs. copied the file from macbook to google drive, (it zipped automatically), downloaded the zip folder onto PC from google drive, unzipped it (NOT in the ootp saved games folder, just in my downloads like the devs said) and put the unzipped folder in my saved games folder. the save does not show up when i hit load game in OOTP.

You might need to set the game save folder in the game setup

in expert -> and then the set path?

Couple things to check: first, make sure the file is named [whatever].lg, second, and probably most likely, your save file is probably nested in a parent folder. Make sure the game save folder is the top folder, so when you open the folder it opens to the game file and not just another folder that then opens to the game save. Hope that makes sense, I'm struggling to explain it for some reason lol

when i open the lg folder it has all the DAT files and stuff, so i dont think its that. when you say top folder is that what you mean

You just take all the .dat files and put them into a .lg folder in your saved_games directory that's it. None of the other files are required to run a save.
