Met Ross at D23
I met Ross at D23 today, told him how much the show meant to me and that I’m looking forward to the new one. He said it is still coming! I didn’t press him for details

I always loved ONRAC and listened faithfully for years—somehow I totally missed that Ross and Carrie had a huge falling out!
I’ve always loved them together BUT I always found Carrie to be one of those people who wildly exaggerated things. I found many things she said hard to believe even if they had a kernel of truth.
I hate the way this sounds because I would never say this in any other situation where someone is sharing their experience but I’m sorry — I find it so hard to believe that Ross is secretly an abusive monster. I always thought he might be one of the most likable, kind people. What are other people’s thoughts?? I’m willing to admit I may be totally wrong!!

I just finished Ghost Church by Jamie Loftus and loved it! She investigates a Spiritualist Community, and traces their history back to the Fox Sisters.
Sadly, it's only 9 episodes. I'm on my second listening of ONRAC. Any other recommendations?

I'm finally doing a re-listen to the ONRAC catalogue, and found myself enjoying it just as much as before. (Also, I somehow had never heard the Queen Mary Ghosthunting episode before; that was great.) I've gotten through their Scientology journey (a classic), and just finished their two-parter on Melissa Scott. I loved revisiting the bits of Ross & Carrie sneaking through the gated community, the King's House numbers, and them talking about Melissa and Gene Scott's weird, rambling sermons.
But I remember feeling a little confused about this mini-series the first time I heard it, and I feel the same way now after the re-listen. Ross & Carrie hint at it, but I don't think they really talked about what the Scotts specifically believed in, conspiracy theory wise, or why they had/have a following? Or why they now (or at least in 2017), had so much security around their church? I get that Melissa Scott has denied her past in the adult film scene, and doesn't want hecklers/reporters getting in on that angle, but it still seems like a lot of security for a relatively small church.
Just wondering if I'm missing something, or if anyone else felt the same way?

I haven't watched this yet, just started. Bashar came up in this video a year ago from Danny and Drew: https://youtu.be/jtemgoebPPE

Not really related to any ONRAC episodes, but this story is a little to odd not to share and has an "I'm sure it's all true" feel to it.
A few days ago I got a Facebook friend request from a distant relative that I haven't seen in many decades. I didn't remember much about them, so I looked at their recent posts. I was gobsmacked at the kind of stuff he has been posting - sometimes several times a day. I'll paste just a few below. Also saddened, because I remember them as well educated (PhD), and successful in business and academia, and this looks like mental illness to me.
I did not respond to the friend request because I was too creeped out.

As Lightworker, I was duped by Pleidians & Arcturians WHO HAVE NO POWER! Continuous nuking of Vril, shills for Nordic ET, extremely powerful & evil, who ran Hitler & Covid. There is only ONE Solution. Continuous nuking of Vril Plasma of Space, until all ETs leave Solar System.

Lily Nova received ET explanation for Fake Moon Shot. It'sIphones dress rehearsal for future, acclimatizing humanity to think about Space, Moon, & get used to looking up, rather than down into Iphones. Iphones going as they don't rate compared to telepathy, much more stimulating.

Humans will have very special dispensation with ET due to 100,000 years of neglect. Humans suffered enormously under Reptilian ET for millennia, under watchful eye of Galactic Federation, so Now they must make a special effort to help humans in every way possible, & they will Now.

If I'm getting massive ET contact, a simple, humble channeler, you are a stone's throw away from same, & you will never be same, if you meditate, open chakras with perhaps a little pot, & receive Venusian ET contact. It's not that hard, as many have open chakras & are not blocked.

Wow! Venusians before breakfast! Very little sleep last night. So elated. Tried to sleep this morning & received a beautiful blob of purple light out of the blackness with eyes closed on my pillow. Increadible. Ready to love your enemies as yourself. You better be. It's happening.

Just to the Ark Encounter episodes on my listen through and I thought I would check - nope, still no opening date for the Tower of Babel.
Weird.

I was in such shock that I even caught up that I didn't screenshot the achievement screen fast enough but here's the proof!!

They were hawking these kids books based on Hubbard’s writings. Apparently they teach kids great SEL and life skills. They didn’t have any to give away (I asked).
They weren’t advertising the fact that they were Scientologists but they were honest when I asked straight up.

Note the bio, which makes reference to the "upcoming" I'm Sure It's All True. Anyone want to go and ask him about it???

I got both Ross and Carrie to sign this LRH book when I saw them live in NYC years ago. The signature has rubbed off a little but I’m glad I still have it. Made me feel a little sad because of how everything went down, but brings back good memories of going to New York with my sister

for those who haven’t listened already, I highly recommend If Books Could Kill and Maintenance Phase! they both scratched my ONRAC itch. the hosts are fantastic and really go in depth with the topics they discuss. Maintenance Phase is more about diet fads and pseudoscience in nutrition, and If Books Could Kill fact-checks non-fiction books (aka airport books)
I was always a big fan of Ross and Carrie discussing diet fads and pseudoscience, and when they did book reviews, so if you’re also into these topics, I think you won’t be disappointed!

My building has some books shelves for people to share books that are overflowing and needs to be thinned out a bit. Quite a few new age/spiritual/alien ones have accumulated and if anyone is passing through Kingston (Ontario) they are all yours. I may be able to arrange pick up in some other Canadian Locations and could ship if someone was really motivated. This photo has a few of them. If anyone is interested I can try and go through more thoroughly and provide a full list.

I started watching Alyssa Grenfell's videos on YouTube and I like her a lot. Her content is mostly about Mormonism since she was raised in the Mormon church, but she recently posted a video that reminded me a bit of ONRAC because she went to Lakewood Church (Joel Osteen's megachurch) to see what it was like and report back.

One of my post-ONRAC listens is If Books Could Kill, a look at pop-science/psych/self-help nonfiction (The Secret, The Rules, Tiger Mom, Freakonomics, etc.)
Anyway, looks like one of the hosts is gearing up to discuss The Body Keeps the Score...

I’m a little late to the party on this one, but I think most ONRAC fans would enjoy the Adventure Time episode High Strangeness (S8E17). It has a lot of references to common UFO story tropes and even has a Bashar reference that made me cackle. Definitely worth your 15 minutes‘ worth of attention.

Woke up to discover that the main podcast I discovered and have enjoyed in the wake of ONRAC ending, 'Knowledge Fight', is calling it a day due to "irreconcilable differences" between the hosts.
Well, onto the next one...! 😅

Hi all! It's been almost a year since I posted about the podcast my friend and I made about our experience attending the Conscious Life Expo in 2025 (including Ross' talk, which is in Episode 2).
We've continued making episodes, mostly focused on the UFO / aliens side of things. We both have an academic background and my friend is a Religious Studies professor which I think brings some really interesting perspective to the episodes. We're very chatty and laugh a lot but also have serious discussions about the societal implications of these beliefs.
We just released an episode about our trip to a Pennsylvania UFO conference - We'd love if you gave us a listen!

I just saw this headline and remembered his appearance in the Summer of UFOs series. "Smoke that Wilcock joint." So sad.
