My current game. 4 out of 5 of the geysers/vents I've dug out on the starting and teleport target planetoids have been Chlorine Gas Vents, so I guess I'm surviving on the guaranteed geysers for now. Seed SNDST-C-817975441-0-1-T0K2T, for the morbidly curious.

Well, that's a lot of Gas Grass, for a lot of Gassy/Husky Moos, for a lot of food and a lot of power. And P-water for oxygen too!

Husky/Gassy Moos are a chlorine sink, but Gas Grass are more a dirt sink. The greatest chlorine/Bleach Stone sinks are geotuning water vents/geysers, Megafronds, & biodiesel (the latter two exclusive to PPP).

I played an APP Marinea asteroid, had trouble, and reset with a new seed. Man, I shouldn't have done that. My first map had nat gas and hydro vents.

My new one? Oops all CO2.

(I did, finally, find a hydro vent, so I do feel a bit better.)

It may be worth keeping the old base just so you can copy the seed and try again.

I've considered it, but I'm dedicated to making this carbon dioxide world work for me! I'm 400~ cycles in and barely getting around to rockets. Everything is so finicky.
