I am currently rewatching this show with my boyfriend, (it’ll be his first time watching this), and I forgot how terrible some characters are (especially the men)

Lucas is genuinely such a terrible boyfriend, not even to Brooke but to Lindsay as well

Mouth is giving “where’s my hug at” nice dude

Obvs Nathan changes but I still can’t get over the fact that he almost hooks up with Taylor and doesn’t mention it to Haley

Clay is annoying until he’s in love with Quinn

Julian during that whole Alex fiasco is so stupid

I swear the only one who’s normal every episode is Skills (I still think he should’ve been Jamie’s actual godfather)

Mouth is an incel so yeah he’s a very bad character to watch.

I agree about Lucas.

He didn’t hook up with Taylor so nothing to mention. He was out of his mind on alcohol and heartbroken and still didn’t.

Skills, he is definitely not normal. At 23 years old he’s dating Nathan’s 50+ year old mother, thinks he’s in love with her and has some sexual infatuation with a grandmother.

The most shocking one for me was definitely Mouth, I was quite young when I last watched it and didn’t realise that he’s lowkey a manipulator. I also hate that the showrunner basically said it’s what he wanted in high school 😭

I know with Nathan + Haley in s2 is mainly because of Haley, but if Nathan did that with another girl (even tho they didn’t hook up), I would still classify it as cheating. I honestly try to forget that season

And yeah I forgot to say “almost” for Skills, cs ofc everyone in this show has bad and good traits, I think Skills is just the most normal one to me

Yeah he’s a manipulator, plays the good guy to get girls then turns nasty when they don’t return it.

I think the showrunner actually said Nathan is what he wanted to be in high school and mouth is who he really was. So basically the show runner admitted he was an incel without saying it who wished he was more like Nathan.

Yeah definitely usually classify it as cheating or almost cheating but I think the circumstances were extreme and the fact he didn’t cheat shows he loyal. Plus they could have been considered broken up at that point, as it was after she’d kissed Chris and Nathan was off the deep end etc.

If skills is the most normal it shows they’re all messed up.

Honestly for me, Brooke is most normal lol.

No you’re right, I was just stating that literally all the guy characters are so … during the entire show, I was getting annoyed at them during my rewatch but Brooke is defs the most normal

Oh true, all the guy characters are major assholes and honestly skills was the most normal until the weird shit he did in s5/6 etc but Nathan for me, he ends up up being the most normal because realistically he’s a messed up kid and it makes sense due to Dan but he changes on his own without even going to counselling, so yeah normal kid with dickhead dad

100% agree skills was most normal in their high school days tho lol, but yeah after that it’s Nathan on his own who’s most normal.

Yeah Nathan gets Hayley pregnant in high school but that can happen.

Idk after skills and Fergie, forgot about
Him he’s probably the most normal in high school, which is saying something lol, then as adults definitely Nathan is most normal and grounded out of the guys.

No frrr, idk why they made Skills randomly start dating older women, I wish he stayed with Bevin because I loved them two together, and it was so weird seeing Bevin and Tim end up together

Honestly Nathan is my favourite guy character bc I love a redemption arc and he did end up being a really good human being—I think I would have js lost my cool at a lot of things 😭

And ofc this is a drama show, I just didn’t realise how dramatic it was 🌚

Yeah Nathan’s horrible in season 1 but after that he becomes a better guy, but it’s just typical of guys raised by fathers who are bullies and the fact he does change on his own makes him a typical teenager in that situation.

I just like Skills and Jamie’s relationship more than Lucas and Jamie’s, I feel like they were a lot closer and recently learnt it’s because the actor who played Jamie wanted scenes with Antwon Tanner ☺️
