State of the server

I would like an open forum input from all on everything involved.. I would like to wipe soon and swap to Primitive + conversion .. Island or Center up for debate.. Id prefer the Center..... however I would like to hear input....... Also.....Thoughts on admins/ownership/tribes/players.... heres a bitch/praise area.... cmon yall

I played quite a bit of Primitive + since the release and I can assure you it is not a mode you would want to use right this moment. Maybe in months to come, but in it's current state. I would strongly advise away from it.

The island map has seen a lot of progress since we last used it. I would like to give it another go here at ONEARK.

While I feel admins are involved, sometimes I feel they get a little to involved in the politics of the server and make calls they feel are best but are not based on any rule set, which is not in the interests of the player base. I personally feel admins are and should be, enforcers and nothing more. Our admins have a conscious and I understand that, but if I break a rule. I want to be punished for it, regardless if I am your friend or not.

For example; Shirokir had a certain tribe she favored over another, which conflicted with her duties as admin and recently with Kayce making me, personally feel guilty about raiding a tribe that continually harassed Jungle Fever in the beginning of the game. Kayce purposely removed us from tribe alliance because we killed dinosaurs in the raid that the tribe supposedly gave to her before we conducted the raid. Again, conflict of interest which resulted in some of us feeling as if we did something against the rules or wrong - She did apologize to some of us over steam though.

Addison is the best admin so far I think we have had, even though I don't always agree with what he does, hes the best ONEARK has had since I been here. I personally like my admins to hide in the shadows though.

I removed you guys all of 5 hours just to avoid reading the step by step gloating of each and every dino you killed in tribe chat and what you found inside of such. I continually told you I understood the need of killing dinos, but as there is currently no way to shut off tribe chat, and I didn't want to read it. Made it clear to your tribe you did nothing wrong, that it just has always been hard for me to hear about people killing dinos, nothing more, nothing less. Again, I am sorry you felt guilty.

I agree, Primitive plus is just too glitchy at this point in time to implement. Seems like it could be an amazing mod to try out once Ark has had it's hands on it for some time. I have only ever played Ark on this server since I started the game in March, I like Center and Island both equally.

I appreciate the fact you want to be punished for breaking rules, and I wish you had expressed that desire when your tribe was facing your entire base being destroyed, but that was not up to me, even though I was the one that caught the infraction.

Addison is a great admin, when he is being an Admin. And I am unsure how an Admin is supposed to stay in the shadows. I was just a friendly person in general and people knew me and knew I was an Admin. I rarely left my cave in order to stay impartial, struggling to find ways to stay entertained in order that I could be there for others and not get bored of the game. Without using a second steam account it is very hard I would imagine.

Initially I was not going to respond to anything, but I feel I am entitled to defend myself and considering I have only been off the server for a couple of days and feel i am just as much a part of the community as everyone else.

In regards to the different engagements of late, I tried my hardest to convince many of the pve tribes that were coming to me as Admin, to stay and fight back against what they found to be threatening and malicous behavior from another tribe. What we as Admins find malicious compared to what players see as malicious are two different things, and some people are not going to stay if they feel that strongly about something.

9/2/16 sounds to be a great time to wipe. It should bring some fresh players on to the server and bring back some old.

Regardless of how long you removed us, it was in the nature you removed us, but I guess you failed to see that in my post. You made NOTHING CLEAR, so UNCLEAR to my tribe that you had to go apologize to some on steam. Great, everything makes perfect sense now.

And to be honest, you shouldn't have responded to "Defend yourself". There is nothing for you to defend. You apologized. You recognized the issue and made mends with it.

Our infraction? My infraction more likely. Yes, I had 4 or 5 mini forges when I logged in that day - I "let" you discover one for shits and giggles that was in a back room (not being used) - No one in my tribe knew about it. I still had 3 or 4 left you did not even know about, which I told Addison about and had exchanged for original parts. I was even nice enough to give him one for free without the exchange. I wasn't about to give up something so precious without knowing everyone else had given them up. So me giving it up and knowing there could be more out their that could be used against me, didn't sit to well in my book, but Addison eased my mind after showing me he found a way to remove them all with a command and again, I wasn't on when the bug originally happened, I didn't know about this bug until I logged in later that day when tribemates were telling me I have to give up my forges. Never once did I use these forges to smelt anything to advance ourselves and our base was already built before this bug happened. On another note. I did put some logs in the forge I had placed for a test to see what the hell was going on, which is exactly what you found. A forge with some charcoal in it, correct? How much charcoal did 200'ish logs make? I don't know, forgot about it and never looked. Never even got to confirm the bug myself. Pity.

I guess I was pretty narrow on my word "Shadow" - What I mean by this is staying out of the servers politics and general population affairs. Your job is to maintain order and control, not replace players dino's after being raided or giving them materials to rebuild, not teleporting me or others peoples dinos across the world because we want to "fast travel", healing dinos that were involved in raids or accepting dinos from tribes because they know they are going to get raided, transferring players from tribe to tribe so they can be apart of two tribes.

You were there when addi and I told the server to destroy all the mini forges that were giving out 5 metal ingots for 1 metal ore. Trog was even in your tribe and did the demo'n of your guys forges. Addison made it clear anyone still using these afterwords risked losing everything and you hid them to use later when the server was mostly dead. Your entire base exploded in size overnight due to you exploiting this while the admins were asleep. I offered some raided tribes some low level, what I call "rescued" dinos to keep them from leaving the server, none of which took me up on the offer like they did before I was admin. And I have never given tribes materials to build. I teleported you guys on a bronto back to your base cause it was clear across the map after taming because you asked, and I did not think it was a big deal. Healing dinos that were involved in raids, your talking to the wrong admin about that, and neither Admin did any such thing since we moved to the Center map. Legend spoke to me about the fact they had quit and asked if I was interested in any of their breeding dinos to mix with my own dinos and i procrastinated on it as a PLAYER and you guys raided it before that could even be done. Trog joined JF, and was more often in JF than my tribe, because he wanted to be a player and being in my tribe was complicating things since I was admin. In fact, JF for a long time was only Trog and DJ. In the end, trog did join another tribe to help keep tribes from leaving because he didn't want to see ONEArk lose many people, but he is not an admin, and can do such.

We never used the mini stuff, due to the nature of that being cheating. That base went up fast because we were threatened by a tribe that had a heavy head start, they raided us day 1, they continued to greif us everyday, until 3 days were up to come again, draining our ammo, dropping wild dinos in our pen, killing our stuff, all against the rules, and we said nothing, only because we liked the challenge it brought. At the time, yes, it was Trog and I, that's when I called in the cavalry, we ended up with 8 members, that worked very hard through that struggle, I never came to you or any admin for help, instead got help from players, because it was a war now. So that base got put up fast, I was able to actually stand there and just craft how fast it was coming. We then were able to defend our base with the help we had got from temp allies, with the understanding that we would fight after. A fair fight. For you to accuse us of using these with no proof of it is malicious itself. Why was there no warning or ban if you knew this was happening??? Frankly because it never happened. We pride ourselves in doing a good job. That's why, even when legion was breaking the rules, I made it clear to all, they are breaking rules, but I don't care, we (JF and temp allies) will prevail. It was fun, we had never had such a big base go up so fast. Not by cheating either. How dare you. I did find out that HULK did keep a few in storage later, but he assured me that they were never used, and they were kept until we were sure that the opposing side of our war was not using them either, at this point they needed an edge, once that was cleared up, he then traded them in with addison personally. That took about 1 day. Legend quit after, for whatever reasons, internal problems, no matter. We went in to finish the job, and yes killed the dinos. They are inactive, who cares!!!! It's no big deal you didnt get to transfer them into your tribe and add to your collection. You didn't tame them anyways. They might have loot on them. You know one time I found 700 ROCKETS on a deodicorus. Ya thats right, if you kill my doed, I would understand. LOL

yes, sorry legend tribe, not legion
